I was looking for a lawyer that specializes in DUI's or OWI's. I found Gary Springstead reviews on Avvo. I was very impressed. I live in Chicago and received OWI in the state of Michigan with a high BAC. Not knowing any lawyers in the are and living in Chicago, I was out to find the best DUI lawyer... in the area of Pentwater Mi. I contacted Mr. Springstead the next day after my release. The office was closed, but he got back to me the first business day. He asked all the specific questions that were needed at that time. He asked me what I wanted to get out of it. I explained no loss of license or suspension and no jail time. He explained he would do the best he could do but there were no guarantees. He explained his he looks holes in the case. Again this is for Michigan only, and not Illinois. So this should not reflect my driving record in Illinois. I think this is more than I can ask for. Very satisfied and happy. I was looking at possibly a second owi charge within the past 9yrs and the loss of my career and house were at stake. I first hired a lawyer out of panic and without doing my homework.
