OUI charge

I was unexpectedly arrested and put in jail on my way to Florida. I was pulled over for taillight not working. After 6 months I was charged with OWI for smoking marijuana several hours earlier. Sam was the calmness to the stress of legal issues. He was knowledgeable, pro-active, and able to explore ...best options. He was compassionate and honest which I appreciated. I was pleased with the results and I highly recommend him.

Very professional

Sam helped me with my OWI case this past year and was very upfront, precise, willing and able. He was also a good listener and his approach to my case was in my best interest. I highly recommend him to anyone. I will be using him again in my ongoing case in 2022. Thanks Sam!

A Lawyer Who Cares

Sam is an honest and diligent lawyer who made a very difficult time in my life go so much better than it could have gone. I was facing a 2nd OWI (Operating While Intoxicated) and a Breaking and Entering charge because I accidentally walked into my friend's neighbor's house in the middle of the night ...while I was drunk and then went back in my car and started it. This was a terribly embarrassing situation to be in and I was truly nervous because I was facing a notoriously strict judge in the city of Dearborn. Sam worked out a deal with the prosecutor to get the B&E charge dropped and I got the minimum sentence for my 2nd OWI, just probation with no jail time and a chance to get off probation early. He was so patient and understanding through the whole process and he genuinely cared about helping me get my life on the right track so I won't have to go through a nightmare like that again.

Impressed and Relieved

Our family recently faced a legal and emotional crisis when our son was charged with a DUI. After the initial panic, fear and confusion, we contacted Mr. Bennett for a consultation. This was the best move we made! Sam returned our calls immediately, listened intently and responded calmly with insigh...tful information. All interactions with him were characterized by this same professional, knowledgeable and caring manner. Most impressive was the sincere relationship he established with our son; patiently answering questions and reassuring him through every step of the process. From the moment we met Sam in his office, to the pre-trial preparations, and eventually the court appearance, we felt well-represented, supported and respected. Sam does his homework. He is detailed-oriented and personable. These are the valued qualities we needed. Our family is grateful we had Sam helping us to navigate the way through this serious and scary time. Thankfully, our judgement was positive and our son is moving forward with hope. Mr. Bennett saved the day. As stated previously, calling Sam was the best move we made!

DUI 1st offense

First think I'd like to say is that my particular case is a very complex one, keep reading and you will understand. I am working in the US under an non-immigrant visa, therefore being charged with a DUI puts me in a very huge risk to have my visa revoked and makes it very hard for me to get a new... visa later on. After everything happened, I felt really sad and worried, I didn't know what to do, I felt lost and ashamed, but I needed somebody who knows about these things to help me. Around 5pm, I started surfing the internet looking for options until I came to a website where I could answer some yes and no questions and my case would be sent to somebody who could help me. Few hours later I received a call from Sam and the first think he said after introducing himself was to calm down, and that everything would be ok, that he was there to help me. Then he asked me to tell him my story, he listened, and immediately afterwards he told me we could meet the next day (On a Saturday). That made him earn my trust because before him I had spoken to other attorneys and they said a call on the phone was enough and didn't want to meet, so that felt like he really wanted to help me and listen my story with more detail. After that call I felt more calmed and helped me have a better night. The next day when we met, it worked out excellent again. He explained me everything with detail, how the process works, what I should do step by step, asked some more questions about me and about how it happened. Then after he talked, and calmed me even more, he left time for me to ask him questions or any doubt if something wasn't clear. During all this time, we talked about my family, how I ended up working in the US, and he also talked a bit about him and his story. After having said all this, what I am trying to say is that the way he listens to you and the way talks to you and guides you to everything makes you realize that what he really wants is to help you go through and solve your problem in the best possible way, he really cares about you, and that is something really hard to find somewhere else. The only reason I didn't hire him has nothing to do with him, it was because I already had an immigration attorney, which is the one who helped me get my visa in the first place, and sad that he knew a criminal attorney which whom he had already worked with, so I decided to follow my immigration attorney's recommendation. Hadn't that happened I would have definitely hired Sam, I am sure he is one of the best.
