The best choice in my divorce and child custody case

I absolutely recommend Steve, and I will continue to work with him should I have any further issues with my ex-husband. Steve and his staff proved to be the best choice to help me through a difficult divorce and child custody battle. Steve is the type of attorney willing to fight for exactly what he ...believes his clients deserve. My ex-husband is manipulative, controlling, and in general, very difficult to deal with. Steve and Becky took on the challenge and did whatever was necessary, continually going above and beyond my expectations. They were both available to answer questions and deal with any issues that arose quickly. Becky did an excellent job of keeping me updated on the status of my case, as well as contacting opposing counsel when necessary. After almost a year and a half of fighting to get my ex to cooperate, I was granted the primary residential parent designation, was awarded a percentage of my ex-husband’s retirement, and also received an award of attorney’s fees. There is no doubt that the outcome in this case is a direct result of the work and skill Steve and Becky both bring to the table. Thanks guys!

Best Lawyer in town. Worth every penny

If you want a lawyer who is going to invest in your case and give it all hes got, this is Steve. He put all he had into the trial to get custody of my son. He invested just as much as we did and was there for us with every turn. My first encounter with Mr. Girsky was when he saw me representing mysel...f in a divorce proceeding trying to get some visitation rights to my son after my ex wife took off with him and kept him from me for almost a year. Mr. Girksy managed to get me some parenting time, ordered by the judge, and was there for me during mediation so I didnt get screwed with. After mediation and visitation was settled, I ran into more issues. Mr. Girksy and his paralegal, Becky, instructed me on exactly how to handle the issues. 6 months after the mediation order was done, I had to go back to court for many contempts, but most importantly to address the neglected developmental issues of my son. I did all that I could do to be organized and prepared for the trail. I can honeslty say with Mr. Girsky on attack, he is on attack. And he got the job done. He put the facts out there to the judge and presented exactly what needed to be presented in a manner that caught this judges attention. Enough that the judge was going to just dismiss the issues, but decided to carry on with a 6 hour long trial. His closing argument was something you would have seen out of a movie! It was beautiful and perhaps one of the most emotional things I've every experienced. He presented a Fact Findings and Conclusion of Law that was profession, beautifully written and recounted the truth from the trial, not just half biased truths. I am a father and I feel a very important piece of my sons life and he understood that. I am a father and my rights were being violated, and he understood that. My son was not being cared for, and he understood that. We are still waiting for a decision from the judge regarding the modification, but I felt Steve and his amazing legal team deserved this review. Becky is great! I'm sure I reached out to her too much, but she always provided the support I needed through this very very difficult time in my life. I have been through some really difficult situations, but this has been very hard on me. I am so thankful Steve and Becky were there for me for the past year and half.

Great Legal Team

Divorce is an emotional roller coaster that I never could have imagined before going through it. Steve and his office are very hard working and kind. Steve does what he needs to do on the front end with mediation and court. Becky (his paralegal) does what she needs to do on the back end. She responds... very quickly and to the point to all emails and phone calls. Tonia (secretary) always has a smile on her face. This office made a pretty hard experience a little bit better and I'm very thankful for that.

Don't gamble on any other attorney

Mr. Girsky and his legal team and Becky his paralegal went above and beyond to not only represent me but to also keep me informed and educated along the way about everything with my case. Mr. Girsky is a very personable attorney as he does not just work for you or on your case , he generally cares ab...out his clients and applies his knowledge and years of experience to represent you. Divorce and custody related issues are overwhelming to deal with and if you want to have piece of mind and confidence that your attorney will fight for you and have your back then Mr. Girsky is the best option for legal representation , do not gamble on any other legal team as this is one of the biggest challenges you will face in your lifetime.

One major flop but otherwise outstanding

I would like to be as transparent as possible in this, as my case was rather abnormal. Steven and Rebecca handled my divorce several years ago, so when a new found custody battle came up, I found it fitting to go there, since they created the original agreement. I have to say, first and foremost, t...hat Rebecca's communication is exemplary! She responded promptly at every whim I had, and normally in a very cordial manner. She was honest and forthcoming, and all though not the best at comforting, she made sure that I understood both sides of everything. I would not trade her for anyone to be my primary POC for my case. Secondly, when my first court date came, I found out that Steven himself wouldn't be present, even though he was the original attorney paid for (things happen, I get it). John stepped in for court and showed up 4 minutes late, thankfully the judge was running behind, but we had little time to go over last minute details. I felt that John's goal was to force me to settle the case in favor of the opposition. He often spoke with the opposing attorney in the presence of my ex but not me, so I was not privy to the attorney discussions but the other party was, and was able to give input. This was infuriating. From the most honest of my heart, he seemed to have been walked all over and bullied by the other, very intimidating I will admit, attorney. This caused me to be very unhappy with the outcome because what I had told him would happen if I agreed to something, indeed happened when he assured me it would not. After the first court appearance, when I let them know of my displeasure, my needs were much better met and I couldn't be more happy with the course of time and their efforts after that. If not for the day of court itself, I would absolutely rate them as 5 stars.
