If it wasn't for Vera Bergermann my mother would've been cheated out of what she had worked so hard for most of her life. After 21 years of marriage my mother’s husband divorced her without her even knowing it, as she suffers from Alzheimer's. Her husband lied on his financial affidavit and about th...eir assets. He obtained a power of attorney after the divorce and starting selling off all of their assets. Ms. Bergermann was able to put a stop to all of that and reopen the case so that the assets could be properly divided.
