Look no further. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a criminal lawyer who will get the job done right and keep you informed along the way, definitely hire Richard Hornsby. He is a straight-forward, no B.S. type of guy who will do his best to achieve the best possible outcome for your case. In our initial meeting, he made sure th...at I understood the seriousness of my case, and he outlined how he anticipated it turning out. (He under-promised and over-delivered). I was extremely satisfied with the results of my case as the outcome was better than we had expected. Another bonus is that he is well-known in the area and well-connected within the judicial system. I REALLY appreciated that he was super-accessible (returns calls and emails in minutes, not days) and constantly kept me updated on the proceedings of my case. You will literally receive hard-copies of all updates mailed to your home so you can keep them on file. Personality-wise, Mr. Hornsby is confident and doesn't sugar-coat. Some may find him intimidating, but I'm sure that works to his advantage in the courtroom. & I did hear him joke once or twice! ;) His rates are very reasonable and he is certainly worth the investment as he will most likely exceed your expectations.

3 charges dropped to 1 with no other restrictions

Being in a profession that is constantly in the public eye, I needed someone who is well recognized in the community, also Mr. Hornsby was referred to me by a friend that may have lost his job if not for Mr. Hornsby's representation. I had 3 charges against me with 1 prior, however Mr. Hornsby persua...ded the court to drop 2 of the charges with no other restrictions. And that i charge that remained will not show a conviction on my record. Thank you Richard Hornsby!

Effective legal representation

Richard represented our son on a felony theft charge. Richard was successful in negotiating restitution, getting the case dismissed, and keeping our son from having a life-long felony conviction on his record. Richard was recommended by a family friend, was responsive on the phone when we first cal...led, kept us informed of case status over an eight month period, provided clear and reasonable guidance about legal alternatives and costs, and made all court appearances and filings required to get our son's case dismissed. Richard was thorough and our son was very effectively represented. The result of avoiding a felony conviction was the best result we could have hoped for. The legal fee cost was reasonable given the situation we faced. While we hope our son will not need Richard to represent him again in the future, we will certainly hire Richard again if we need criminal legal defense representation. We recommend him to anyone who needs a criminal defense attorney.

Very Rude

I am going through a tough situation in Highlands County. I called Richard hoping that he would use his expertise to help me with my case. Since he has wored in POLK county I figured it wouldn't be hard for him to take one case in Highlands. He was very rude, and just blatantly didn't want to help m...e, I tried everything to politely ask him that is was very crucial for me. Even though my case is in Highlands County I felt that an attorney who cares would have tried to help, maybe even call his colleagues to see if he could refer me to someone. This case is crucial to my future. I currently have a case in the court of appeals, so if I get a V.O.P for something coincidental my case in the court of appeals can go down the drain. My goals to finish school and get into a medical program will cease and my future crushed forever. I didn't hire Richard Hornsby and its sad that he could help. If the Medical Industry functioned like our judicial system we would be in real deep problems.

I assume I should be flattered that you gave me a negative review because I would not take your case. Unfortunately, I am irritated at your lack of candor in your review. As you know, you called at 6PM on a Friday asking me to call your mother back. I call your mother and she pretends she has no idea what I was talking about. You then call me back and inform me your case in in Highlands County. I advise you that I do not take cases in Highlands County because it is three hours from my office. You then ask me to recommend an attorney, I advise you that I don't know any attorneys in Highlands County. You then ask me if I would help you find one, I advise you I am out shopping with my son and do not have the ability to do so. You then get upset and tell me I should take your case in Highlands, at this point respectfully ended the call. I may have been short with you, because of your inconsiderate actions, but to leave a negative review as if your were an actual client, that is simply childish.

does his job very well!

Great lawyer, lowered my felony charge to a misdemeanor. What more can I say, I'm not a felon and that's what matters.
