I spent two weeks interviewing attorneys when I needed to hire representation for a violation of probation case with four alleged charges against my boyfriend. With VOPs, the burden of proof on the state is even lighter as there is no jury trial but the discretion of the judge only so it felt like an... uphill climb. I was arrested in Florida for the first time ever in my life and was extremely scared and nervous to await the outcome of my case.
