After 11 yrs of expensive failed attorneys, I thought I would have to serve the 30yr life sentence given to me until my mom met Janis. She is the only lawyer after having 3, who got my sentence reduced and sent to the TC. She is so passionate, dedicated and compassionate and is still working to get m...e home early. She is the epitome of what a DEFENSE attorney should be. All of the other lawyers took my money and did the bare minimum. Not Janis she worked so hard until she got the results we wanted. She is forever my angel from heaven and I thank God for her everyday.

Initially, Janis Mann was very impressive and seemed very professional and empathetic. I started to have concerns when I kept having to resend documents. She just wasn't tech savvy. She cancelled my daughter's court date two days before she was to appear because she forgot her daughter was on fall... break. She advised she would put it back on the calendar. Months went by and she had not done that. Then she stopped responding to emails. At that point, I had to discontinue her services. Sadly, I've heard many similar stories from others who retained her for their incarcerated loved ones. You pay her retainer in full and then it seems like nothing ever happens. I do not recommend her.

Attorney Janis has been working with me for nearly a year to get my terms of probation modified. Unfortunately, we had some setbacks due to Covid, but through it all, Janis was there. Her encouraging words while we were waiting for the courts kept me from getting discouraged. Knowing that she was onl...y a phone call away alleviated some of my anxiety through it all. She is a great listener and will fight for what she believes her clients deserve. She has a great personality and a caring heart. The best part is that we were granted everything that was requested for the modification! WE WON!!!
