Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Control

I received a failure to maintain control ticket in January, which falls under reckless driving. I received the ticket from vcu pd because my "tires spinning in the snow". The cop followed me for miles and i felt that it was police harassment. I went to the Riley&Wells law firm. I discussed my case wi...th David Vyborny. He was positive that this case would not hold up in court. He was very nice to talk to. I had to go to Richmond District Court multiple times. The officer only showed up once, which was at the arrangement. I postponed the case at the arrangement. The Second time i went to court, Ed Riley represented me. We tried to dismiss the case but didn't have the chance due to the officer not showing up in court again. The third time, Mitch Wells represented me. The officer didn't show up again. Mitch was able to drop my case without any consequence such as driving school. All 3 attorneys i had contact with were very knowledgeable and pleasant to be around. I will go to them again if needed (hopefully not).

Driving w.o. License - Class 2 Misdemeanor Dimissed

I got pulled over in Richmond for expired registration and driving license. I got registration and license renewed, also paid fine for registration ticket. Upon some research on internet, learnt that the charge for driving with expired license was Class 2 Misdemeanor and if found guilty, it would sta...y on my record with possibility of additional fine. I was concerned about public record on my driving history and thought of hiring an attorney. I went to AVVO and after reading the reviews I contacted Mitchell Wells. I spoke with him and his team, decided to go forward based on his knowledge and readiness to be at court during first appearance. Result: Both the cases were dismissed, no public record. Even, got my fine refunded. Excellent work! I would highly recommend Mr. Wells for legal representation. Thanks again...

Out of Town Speeding Shocker!

We live in New York and I was driving the family down to Myrtle Beach. I received a speeding ticket for driving 85mph in a 70mph zone going around Richmond. The officer mentioned that over 80mph was considered reckless driving in VA. This stuck in the back of my mind. After contacting the court, ...I was shocked to find out that the charge of Reckless Driving is a Class 1 Misdemeanor. I decided to hire an attorney and went to AVVO. After reading the reviews I decided to go with Mitchell Wells. I called him and he could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable. His team makes the process simple and puts your nerves at ease. The outcome was a defective equipment, no points, non-moving traffic infraction. It is tough to find an out of town lawyer. This is the guy you should use!

Got the job done

I hired Mitch Wells based on all of the excellent reviews. Mitch was pretty straight forward and encouraging from the start and explained what he planned to do. I can only assume that he followed through with his strategy since I was not with him in court. The outcome was that my offense was reduced... to a a simple traffic violation, which saved me a lot of potential headaches. My only criticism was some minor miscommunication with the office staff when I tried to clarify a few issues. I was also left hanging for a few days after the hearing. I had to call the office four days later to get the results, and, from the secretary. I wish that Mitch would have called with the outcome the same afternoon, or even the next day. Considering the hefty retainer I had to pay, I think that would have been more than reasonable.

Great help for an out of state driver fighting a ticket

I was shocked to find out the problems my 'reckless driving' speeding ticket of 85 in a 65 were going to cause me in the state of Virginia. Turns out this is a misdemeanor in VA, quite laughable if you ask me (I live in Florida where they have real crime). I received about 100 letters in the mail fro...m lawyers all across the state but decided to do my own research. I picked Mr. Wells because they had good reviews with similar issues as mine and I am happy to add another. I had nothing to help me get the ticket thrown out but he got it drastically reduced and my fine was barely over $100 and I just had to take a VA drivers course. The amount of savings in fines and increased insurance premiums is worth every penny and then some. Not to mention not having that scam of a misdemeanor on your record. VA should be ashamed of making decent people out to be criminals. Hell, you wouldn't get pulled over for 75 but now at 85 you get the same criminal charge as theft, drug possession, prostitution, assault and disorderly conduct. Hardly seems right. The firm charges you a flat fee and simply just knock it out for you. Frankly, these guys are such pros you don't really feel like a lot is going on but they know what they are doing. I only hired them 2 weeks before my date and it still came out great. Highly recommended!
