82/70 FL driver

Mrs Wells was excellent. I was unaware that anything over 80mph in the state of Virginia was considered reckless driving. I have heard other states laws are over 90 up to 100. Mr Wells was able to get my ticket reduced from reckless driving to defective equipment. No points, and is considered to ...be a non moving violation similar to a brake light out. Very happy with the outcome.

Total satisfaction

Mitch Wells is not only a professional but is honorable. From beginning to successful conclusion he communicated, explained our position, and followed up with performance. P.S. He comes from great stock, I knew his father Irv and truly appreciate his son. Thank You Mitch Wells.

Speeding ticket reduced

I contacted Mitch Wells after I had been issued a Misdemeanor charge for doing 84 in a 70 MPH zone. Mitch walked me through what would happen and what he needed from me. He was very clear about his role, my role and the Officer's role. He was able to get the charge reduced so I only had to pay a fine... and court fees (no points!!). It was a painless process because Mitch and his team were experienced and easy to work with.

Excellent Attorney!

I was traveling North on I-295 when I received a ticket for 83/70 mph and no display of a front tag. The Trooper informed me that it was considered reckless which is a Class 1 Misdemeanor in the State of VA. Since I was from out of town and never contested a ticket I asked a local law firm who they... would recommend and they immediately said, "Riley and Wells." I contacted Riley and Wells was impressed with their professionalism and concern. I was kept informed throughout the process and was fully confident that I had the best possible representation for the situation. Although it wasn't required, I elected to show up to court and met Mr Wells prior to the scheduled hearing. It was immediately obvious that Mr Wells was highly respected by the VA State Troopers and Court. Mr Wells explained my options and possible outcomes in detail and ironically, given the seriousness of the reckless driving charge, all favorable. The final outcome: Reckless driving charge pleaded down to defective equipment-no points and a non-moving violation. No display of front tags-dismissed. I highly recommend Riley and Wells!!

Not Good for Anything Above 80+ Mph

I retained Mr. Wells to defend me in a reckless driving charge in 2013. Considering the amount of money I paid for his services and the ending judgement you would think I would've received a better outcome. I first consulted over the phone and decided he would be the attorney to represent me as t...he original attorney I was recommend to was very unresponsive. I met him at his offices and although he seemed nice; he was rushed. I think our meeting lasted no more than 15 minutes and I left with little assurance that my ticket would not land me in jail. I took the driving school he suggested, community service hours submitted along with my previous driving record. All of these seemed like things that would help in court - and they did; I got the jail-time and license suspension dropped. He represented me in absentia which is a nice touch if you're from out-of-state. I still, however, received a reckless driving charge on my record which is now wrecking me financially for the next couple of years. I would've hoped to receive at least a reduction to improper driving but no; reckless was what was passed down. Mr. Wells said we could appeal the decision however it probably wouldn't result in any better of an outcome and may even hurt me further. I'm not sure if that was true but now I probably should've contested the judgement. “The final court fines and fees were a total of $1,136 after Mr. Wells had asked for reduced judgement."
