Top-notch DWI attorney

Joe is a terrific lawyer in his specialty. He knows the VA laws inside and out and will devise a customized plan of attack for your defense. Joe tells it to you straight—he is forthright about your chances for possible plea deals that the prosecution would accept. In my specific instance, I blew 0....13 in the field and 0.11 at the station, but my field sobriety tests were fine and the arresting officer had unknowingly obscured all of the video footage. Nevertheless, Joe was very direct about the uphill battle I was facing, and we pursued various lines of attack in the weeks before the court date, including plans if we needed to appeal. When the case was tried, Joe pushed hard on all the weaknesses of the arrest and ran laps around the more-junior prosecuting attorney. Fearful of losing the case outright, the prosecutor agreed to a wet reckless with various provisions but no interlock, which was something that was crucial for me to avoid. At my first ASAP meeting, the case manager seemed floored that I was able to get a reckless with a 0.11. For the expertise Joe provided during my nine month journey, I found his fees very reasonable. If you are up against a DWI in the Richmond area and you want to maximize your chances of the best possible outcome, you need to look no further than Joe McGrath.

Out Of State Issues

I was declared a habitual offender by Virginia in 1995. I had moved out of Virginia in 1991. Tried to resolve issue my self several times, All i had done is threw away my money. If you need a lawyer that will represent you, Joe's your man ! He took care of everything. I did not have to travel back ...to Virginia for any court hearings. Joe took care of it. I highly recommend Joe McGrath for any of your driving related issues.

Joe saved my life

Joe is very professional and knows his stuff. He also is extremely easy to work with and handles your matters as if they were his own. I was arrested this summer for two charges (felony hit and run and driving on the revoked) and reached out to Joe to help me. These are serious charges for anyone and... in my case, they were even worse because I was a revoked driver. Joe listened to the facts in my case and helped me get a result that allowed me to stay home with my family, keep my job and most importantly, remain felony free. Excellent and professional

I was scared to death after getting my first DUI. I just knew my whole life from that point on would never be the same. I contacted a few attorneys and none of them gave me any hope. Pretty much told me what I was gonna lose and for payment would stand next to me in court. Thank Goodness for Joe. He... listened to me, heard my side of the story and put together a defense that got me a "not guilty" verdict. He is amazing he cares about his clients and their future. Personal injury

Joe represented me following a personal injury I sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Joe was attentive, friendly, and competent.
