I never write review for anyone before, but I will do it this time for Katz and for those of you who needed help from a "real lawyer". I will be absolutely honest about my case and Katz. I had two previous charges of misdemeanor in 2010 and was place in removal proceeding because I'm not a US citizen... (I fought my case back w/ an immigration lawyer and won my case), I cannot have any more Misdemeanor nor Felony. In 2015 I was charge with a Felony (Grand Larceny, I was with someone and they charged me as well), I was recommended to Katz by my immigration lawyer. Katz is not cheap (but he will worth every penny you spend). I came to Katz's office June 2015, HOPELESS about my case. I know for 90% I will be deported if I face any charges even a misdemeanor theft. All the other lawyers I've been to make a lot of promised. I've dealt w/ manny lawyers before and none of them act like Katz. He asked me to do homework (theft class & community service hours). Mean while he obtain the evidence in fighting my case. He CARED, Katz would call me the day before court date to see if I have any questions or if I need anything. After 10 months of fighting, the result came out amazing…TRESPASS…Unbelievable. I was speechless. Katz is above amazing, he kept his promised. I have two words to described Katz "HIRE HIM", because you will get what you paid for. GOOD LUCK

Jon proved to be a superb Attorney and outstanding person who genuinely cares about the best outcome for his clients. He proved this to me after I was cited in Maryland for DUI, DWI, using a hand held telephone and Negligent Driving. After reading an over exaggerated police report, I felt like I wa...s dead meat. While, then I met Jon and he gave me hope that he could back. He did everything he could possibly do to mitigate the serious nature of these charges. If you want a prize fighter who is willing to bob and weave to obtain the best possible results for you, trust me, this is your man. He gave me a course of action to help mitigate the charges and potential judgement orders, learned everything he could about all the Judges went to other specialty Attorneys for work related letters and went to trial when he didn’t get the outcome that I desired. During trial, he demonstrated a mastery level of knowledge of the law and I believe that he even impressed the Judge with his understanding. In the end, I was charged with Negligent Driving, was ordered to attend a MADD Intervention Panel and received six months unsupervised probation before judgement (PBJ) before being possibly charged for DWI. I watched other have much worse outcomes and our (he plays as a team) outcome would have probably been much worse without Jon’s outstand service!

Jon is a great lawyer. I hired him to defend me for the misdemeanor criminal charge. He is very professional and is all about business. If you are looking for a touchy-feely lawyer, he is not your guy. However, if you are looking for a lawyer who will go over and beyond to try to negotiate the best d...eal for you, than he is the right person to call. Jon is very responsive and you can expect to get an e-mail from him late at night or at 5 am. It was very easy to schedule meetings with him, being it over the phone or in person. His office and conveniently located just by the Fairfax county court and he offers his clients to park at his office private parking lot on the date of the court. Jon is not the cheapest lawyer in the area, but I feel his representation was worth every cent of it. I would highly recommend Jon to anyone seeking top-notch criminal defense in the Fairfax county.

Mr. Katz is definitely the best one you can find for your DUI case. I first got a DWI charge in Virginia, and I was really freaked out. I had the unfortunate experience of running afoul of the Virginia law authorities a little while back. Though the charge was "only" a misdemeanor criminal charge it held out the prospect of destroying my life and my career. The police were less than ethical in questioning so I basically dug myself... into a big black hole. The whole system is a little on the inhumane side if you ask me. Jon ended up being the only light at the end of what felt like a very dark tunnel. In the end my charge was reduced which I felt was a favorable outcome given the circumstances at the time. However, after spending only fifteen minutes with Jon I knew that this was the guy I wanted to have on my side. I left his office feeling whole and human again and I knew my rights were going to be protected. He immediately recommended a defense strategy and we discussed an action plan I could implement while waiting for my court date that would improve my chances. I was not only impressed with his legal acumen and supreme confidence; more than anything it was his humanity. He listened to me an I felt like he cared about me and my case. He offered to fight hard all the way up to and on my court date. He didn't pull any punches, he pointed out the pros and cons but when I left his office I was "whole" again. He was a bit "quirky" but that turned out to one his strengths and went with his disarming sense of humor. I would be worried sick about a court delay or some other fact of my case and he would effortlessly manage to lift my spirits, literally. Jon always returned phone calls promptly and as long as you scheduled a half hour meeting in advance he would make himself available to you. If you were like me when you first visited AVVO I know how you must be feeling!!! Do not fear, there is someone who will fight this crazy system they call justice. That someone is Jon Katz.
