I want the world to know about Jon Katz. Unfortunately, my review will not post on the other platform we all know and love, but this must be made clear. I've been in and out the court system for over 10 years. I'm an 11x felon with a record that would make your jaw drop. So I've seen it all. From... a wide range of lawyers to the outcomes they can provide... Or so I thought. About 6 months ago I got in trouble and was facing some serious time. Guidelines called for 2 - 3.5 years. Off the jump I was denied bond by the magistrate. Jon went for bond and though it was denied twice (due to this being a repeat offense and a misunderstanding that I had FTAs on my record (which I don't) but nonetheless, Jon pushed for a bond motion every day and on the 3rd try we got it. While out on bond, he assigned me "homework" as people like to call it. Do. What. Jon. Asks. I have never in my life beat a charge. And I am so used to taking plea deals, I forgot lawyers like Jon still exist who ACTUALLY fight for you. Immediately he starts looking for inconsistencies in the police report and finding the best possible defense. And boy did he find it. He brought what he knew up to the prosecutor who then offered me a deal of probation no jail time. Normally, I take plea deals. Nope, not with Jon. He said, "you're not taking that because you don't want time hanging over your head if you get in trouble. We're fighting this today." Sure enough, we go in and I saw what a true lawyer looks like. Do not judge what your eyes see because he's an entirely different person in court - a TRUE lawyer in the very sense. He fought and absolutely crushed the prosecution. He had the Judge looking at the prosecutor and arresting officer in disgust! I had 4 charges, all nolle prosequi'd. Thank you Jon a million times over. I have my life back and I am finally out of the system for the first time since I was 16.

I was in a difficult spot when I retained Jon's service as I had been charged with a DUI. Given the circumstances of my case, Jon was able to get charges reduced to reckless driving with no adverse license issues. Jon will definitely go to bat for and was the most positive experience I have had with ...a lawyer. I would highly recommend Jon to anyone in need of legal counsel.

Jon was efficient, thorough and adaptable in order to get me the most favorable terms available for my case under very unfavorable circumstances. His casual demeanor is more a testament to his experience which shows in his detailed awareness of the law and potential outcomes in cases. My specific cas...e was was a DUI 2nd offense within 5 years and high BAC which carries very strict mandatory jail penalties, and license revocation. Come trial day Jon was able to take advantage of the situation by quickly negotiating a plea deal before giving the prosecuters team time to collaborate. My case was pled to a reckless driving with fine, and VA ASAP program with no driving restrictions whatsoever. I don't think many attorneys would have been quick on their feet enough to create that opportunity. Highly recommend Jon to serve your legal needs.
