Unprofessional, unprepared & rude. Do not hire!

I regret hiring her and eventually hired another attorney. Initially, she portrayed herself well and I paid the retainer requested. After a few court appearances, I knew I needed to find another attorney. She was late to court every time, even no showed once! Unprepared and unorganized at court, the...n tried to blame me for her shortcomings saying I didn't provide her with documents, despite me dropping off copies of everything requested. She missed filing deadlines, got snotty with the judge and when she double billed me TWICE, that was the last straw. Judge allowed an adjournment for me to hire a new attorney as she recognized my attorney was dropping the ball. If you have her as your attorney, you will regret it. A guy in the hallway of the courtroom said she was appointed to represent him and (according to him) she refused to spend any significant time meeting with him to prepare his case saying it wasn't necessary and they could speak at court before they went into see the judge. Not the type of attorney you want handling anything important!

Incompetent

Laurin seemed to be working for the other side and not for me. She didn't listen to my concerns, didn't respond to my calls or emails, came to court dates late and unprepared, and then charged me an arm and a leg. She also emotionally blackmailed me and was extremely rude and impolite.

Not a great experience with her at all

I hired Laurin as a divorce attorney and when I first talked with her on the phone she seems like a perceptive person ..she listen and offered suggestion to get my attention to hire her as my attorney ..I didn’t meet Laurine in person until our first court date in which she was running late ..she see...med nice enough though ..after that first court date I hardly talked to her one on one everything went through her paralegal..which by the way was amazing !!!Laurin didn’t listen to me as her client and almost never knew what was going on with my case..why would she when her hard working paralegal handled everything ..as my case went on Laurine decided to run for Congress or something of the sort as well as starting a real state business on top of her own personal family related issues .I feel Laurin would make a great lawyer if she took on less jobs and focused on one particular thing ..Laurin seemed worried about one thing, that was racking up my bill and making sure she got payment ..I feel the redundant orders she did along with other items she perused saying it was relevant to the divorce when it truly wasn’t could have saved a ton of money for me had she done it once instead of many times .. Any time you questioned anything with Laurin she got upset and always had a rude response even when it was there in black and white showing she double charged for things ..she has poor people skills and needs lessons on how to talk with her clients ..I feel she forgets “We”the client hire her to do a job ,not to be screamed at or felt made a fool for pointing out a billing error ect ..she should also try to be more attentive and at least know a little about the case before heading into court..she relies to heavily on her assistant ..

Divorce

About 2 years ago I had the opportunity of meeting Attorney Haddad at a local cafe. I remember my first my first impression of her was "Wow, she must be pretty important. Everyone knows her, she was dressed very professional, very courteous, and personable." I assumed she was a political figure here ...in Central NY. Little did I know she was an attorney. And little did I know, I would need an attorney a year later. Laurin and I sat down not only to talk about my situation but to also guide me with all the possibilities I were to face in the future. She told me from the beginning that it would not be an easy case, but that she would do everything in her power to get the outcome I was looking for. Ultimately leaving the decision up to me on which road we would take as a team in this proceeding. Her diligence and knowledge of law made me feel optimistic and safe in her hands. The one characteristic that I find important in Laurin is her honesty. She did not simplify things and make promises that I was looking to hear. With a case such as mine, camouflaging the possible outcomes would have been a risk I was not prepared to take . The judge has not made his decision yet, but I am confident in her and her hardwork that she has put into this case. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking legal services based on her compassion, hardwork, knowledge, and litigation skills that I have experienced firsthand.
