Back in April I was arrested for agrivated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .19! In the state of NY they will go back 25 years now any alcohol related offence and hold it against you. Jim helped my out with my DWI. I met with him for the first time the day after my arrest. From that point forward I felt that I was in good hands. All my questions were answered. He explained the process which for a person not familiar with the legal system helped ease some stress. All the differ...ences between the laws and what DMV does where explained and what I would have to do given the possible outcomes. This DWI arrest was my first time being in legal trouble, and it was devastating. After a few days of denial, I finally started researching lawyers and came across avvo. I narrowed it down to a few lawyers/law firms that had excellent reviews and scheduled initial consultations with each. Mr. Daley c...alled me soon after I emailed the Team Green Lawyers and I was able to meet with him within a few days. When I came in for my initial consultation, the woman at the front desk was really friendly (this actually makes a big difference when you are in a position where you feel like a terrible person). Mr. Daley greeted me in the waiting area almost immediately after and brought me to his office. He was empathetic/relatable and really informative. He explained the charges, my options , and what everything would ultimately cost. He answered all of my questions in detail. I think I spoke with Mr. Daley for over an hour, and never felt pressured to "choose him." He's a good guy, and I did choose him. I called Mr. Daley a lot, and he always got back to me right away if I didn't speak to him that same day. He had me complete the Victims Impact Panel and referred me to a drug/alcohol counselor for evaluation before my court date. It was great to get this done beforehand because I wanted to put this all behind me as soon as possible. Mr. Daley was also able to have my court date moved back because the initial date was on a day I had a college class I could not miss. On the day of my court appearance, Mr. Daley already worked out a deal with the DA to have my misdemeanor DWI conviction reduced to a traffic infraction, DWAI. Originally, I had two tickets for DWI (one they issue at the time of arrest and the other once you are at the station and consent to a breath test with a BAC of .08 or greater) as well as a ticket for failure to come to a complete stop at a four-way stop. All of these charges were dropped after agreeing to the lesser charge of DWAI. I am really pleased with how quickly Mr. Daley was able ot take care of this for me. He stayed in contact with me and was always prompt about getting back to me to answer any questions. I would recommend Mr. Daley to anyone facing similar charges, he did a great job. My only recommendation to clients looking to hire Mr. Daley is to maybe research an alternative drug/alcohol evaluator other than the one he refers to you, which will be Forensic Consultants (cost $175). I say this ONLY because there may be a less expensive option (like Syracuse Community Health Center or something like that). Good luck, and it gets better!
