Do not use that lawyer if yo work hard for your money and don't want to get morge like me.. I am single mother received divorce papers from my husband and didn't want to sign them without consulting a lawyer found that Tod Zimmer online. At first consultation showing the divorce papers and ...advised to file a new divorce myself. I asked Tod how much that will cost he said that the lowest was $ 4.200 may have little bit retainer fee but not going g to be a lot and I paid haft of the amount with using a discover card. Was thinking to pay the balance wih my debit they dont even wait for me they and got it by themselves So he filed the divorce despite the $4200 after 1 month I received a letter saying PLEASE PAY YOUR RETANER FEES $300 EVERY MONTH THE 1RST OF EACH MONTH I was surprised $300 evey mont but and my head I tough it was something that was going to last for a couple months. I called Discover cancel the credit card and didn't ha no choice and continue to paid in cach walking to the office. Lot of bill to pay by myself sometimes they sent me notice of cutting of the electric bill but I have to bring that money didn't know for how long. I only went to court once with an other lawyer that he sent with me may a new graduate and didn't even listen by a judge only both lawyers met - Anytime he gave me a court date he rescheduled in an other 3 months so I can continue to pay that retainer fees no transparency, no communication when he finally called you I scared to talk because every minute timed for more money. I WAS exhausted and didn't know what to do. Finally I was hoping a last court date and he had the other lawyer called me saying that it will reschedule because my husband fired his attorney and I said so ok this is too much I fire you too. He said you will have pay for the balance. And I said what balance are you taking about? Guys I received a bill from Tod for $6600 I was so shocked and I filled a complaint gor to the ABA American Bar Association for hep and gave me an appointment. I brought all my receipts and explained the situation. Some of them understood the abuse and wanted to fully eliminate the lbill for me WHILE some didn't want to give me priority on him as he is a lawyer with background so they finally cut the bill in half $3300 and told me to go to regular court if I'm not satisfied with that I have to go on my savings to get that $3300 to pay Tod. MY PROBLEM IS NOT ONLY THE MONEY BUT THE SERVICE RECEIVED THE FOR THE MONEY SO me and my husband attended the rescheduled court date representing ourselves We have being so shocked when the JUDGE SAID THAT THE DIVORCE WAS FILED BUT DOESN'T SEE THE APPLICATION AND no paperworks anf he SENT ME TO THE LIBRARY TO GET A DO IT YOURSELF PACKAGE. Me and my husband have been living in separate State have to file that over the phone I have to mail papers going back in Fort for signature. And go tge the cort library for more explanation about how to properly file some of the difficult part of the package. And finally did it by ourselves. WAS REALLY A SAD AND UNFAIR EXPERIENCE THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET Spent almost $12000 for nothing all the receipts are there. I will never distroy them.

Once the divorce moved forward, Mr Zimmer and his associates/office staff always got back to me in a timely manner, they addressed all my concerns, and were very easy to work with.
