In my opinion, Peter is everything a lawyer should be. Normally I would use my sister who's a real estate attorney in New Jersey to handle my real estate transactions, but alas she's not licensed in New York. Nonetheless, I chose to go with Peter over other local attorneys because of his expertise in... rental law (I'm purchasing a two family), positive reviews online, and having read some of his informative and well written articles that appeared in The Nyack Villager. I can say without a doubt that I made a prudent choice. Peter has been excellent throughout what I can only imagine has been a worst case scenario Real Estate wise. He has played the role of "Good Cop" in dealing with my extremely contentious mortgage company, is extremely quick to respond to email and phone inquiries succinctly, and has been very patient and knowledgeable in all aspects of a real estate transaction that has encountered numerous setbacks including a probate situation as the seller had passed before we were able to close. I wanted to find a reliable local attorney that was competent, competitively priced, and one I could trust. My search is over. Peter was the easiest person to communicate with and as a major bonus, he’s very funny! He made everything simple, straightforward and easy even when we were stressed out, especially after the house was damaged by Hurricane Irene. He responded to emails at lightning speed and always picked up his p...hone. His fee was very fair and it was exactly what he quoted in the beginning, which we truly appreciated because he did not charge more even though the closing was postponed a few times first due to bank issues and later due to the Hurricane. We were first time homebuyers so we researched everything including interviewing 3 lawyers and he was by far the easiest to reach and the best at explaining the process. If our close friends or family decide to buy a house, we would highly recommend Peter, and if we ever sell and buy another house, he’ll be our lawyer again, no question.
