I cannot thank Weiss & Associates enough for their representation in traffic court on my behalf. Almost two years ago, I received a ticket for 71 m.p.h. in a 50 m.p.h. zone. Yes I was speeding. No, I didn’t realize the speed limits on New York City interstates had all been lowered to 50 m.p.h. What I... found out when I researched the consequences was that I would receive six points, that I would be liable for a Driver Responsibility Assessment for three years, and that if I had been cited for 70 m.p.h., the points would be lowered and the Driver Responsibility Assessment would go away. Weiss & Associates informed me that there was no plea bargaining in New York City traffic cases, but they would see what they could do. What they did was to delay a guilty verdict for almost two years and get the charge reduced to 70 m.p.h. in a 50 m.p.h. zone. Delaying the verdict means I will only have the points on my record for a few months since they expire two years from the date of the offense.
