Expert Guidance

We were referred to Cheryl by a friend. Even in the initial consultation, she was reassuring and knowledgeable (and frankly, more reasonably priced than other attorneys). We hired her to assist with an adjustment of status case following our marriage, though my husband already had an asylum case pen...ding. For a straightforward marriage case, we had endless delays with USCIS (some that might be fairly attributed to COVID, but mostly not). Even though normal processing is about 8 months, we were still waiting after 3 years, with multiple inquiries to USCIS at multiple levels, ombuds complaints, written requests to senators, and more. USCIS had misfiled the case without taking accountability, and causing delays more than triple the normal processing time. It was an emotionally wrought time for us, waiting indefinitely to be contacted for an interview. We were both reaching a breaking point. I am grateful that Cheryl, Michelle and Lindsey helped us keep perspective, and were able to navigate us through to a resolution. The patience and knowledge needed to negotiate US immigration is stunning, and we were grateful for their expert guidance throughout the process.

Life changing experience - recommend wholeheartedly

My husband and I had been struggling to re-open our case for 10 years with no success. After multiple attempts to do so with several attorneys and many consultations with big law firms in the city that advised us to leave the country and apply from abroad, we made an appointment with Cheryl and under...stood what it truly means for an attorney to care about our case. It was refreshing to speak with a knowledgable attorney that was truthful with us and focused on solutions. From the beginning, it was clear to us that we are in great hands with Cheryl and Michelle David. They both dedicated their time and resources to help us get out of a very difficult situation that has affected our entire family for many years and they did so with care, knowledge and incredible professionalism. I cannot put into words how grateful my husband and I are for what Cheryl and Michelle did for us! They helped us achieve the impossible and my husband got his green card in spite of many years of struggling. An expert and supportive guide

Cheryl and her team were kind, understanding, and extremely proficient. Cheryl was attentive and responsive at each stage of the process, ensuring that we understood each part in detail, and always took care to acknowledge our concerns – even when they were born of fear and nervousness – and assure u...s that they were not insurmountable. Cheryl responded to message quickly and thoroughly and never did we feel that we were lost, or left in the dark; she communicated what we needed to do, when, and how. And, crucially given the stresses of such a process, Cheryl was also clear about which items were must-haves and which items were simply desirable, making certain that we did not expend precious effort and resources on materials that made little difference. Cheryl was always on hand to explain, in no uncertain terms, what exactly was required of me and my spouse, and the different scenarios that we might face during the application, so that no matter what happened, we felt prepared. Our case was processed during the pandemic, and even on ever-shifting pandemic terrain, Cheryl was knowledgable, confident, and forthright. We knew that if something was had recently changed or was going to change, Cheryl would know about it, and she always did. In addition to her professional knowledge and experience, Cheryl was a valuable guide and support during the moments of the process where it is easy for an application to be overcome by their emotions: she was understanding and empathetic without overindulging in my unproductive worries, meaning that we didn't get bogged down in doubt. I would highly recommend Cheryl and her team, and can not imagine having navigated without her.

Organized, responsive, and courteous!

Let me preface by saying I applied for permanent residency during a period of increased delays/difficulties. Despite these obstacles, Cheryl, Michele, and the rest of the team did an outstanding job at ensuring the entire process was painless and resulted in me obtaining a green card! The three attri...butes I'd use to describe this law firm are: organized, responsive, and courteous. Organized - there was never a single moment where I was left in the dark about the process. They made it very clear what materials were must-haves vs nice-to-haves, stayed on top of deadlines, and never made any mistakes during the filing process. Responsive - as you can imagine, the delays had me nervous at various points during the process. The team was lightning fast at responding to any inquiries I had and never made me feel like I was asking a dumb question. Courteous - there were a couple of things in my history I was nervous about when applying for my green card, but Cheryl and her team consistently treated me with kindness and never made me feel judged. I've worked with lawyers in the past and a few of them have made it clear that this is purely a job for them. In Cheryl's case, you can tell that she genuinely cares about you as a person.

Best Lawyer! 150% Would Recommend!!

I couldn’t stop my tears as I was writing this review. I will not forgot my 27 years of dealing with a horrifying experience. Without getting into deeper detail, I can assure that my case was a complicated one. I have literally been from door to door, looking for someone to represent me but I was alw...ays misled and undermined. They were always taking advantage of me. Do you know who made me free from all my pain and suffering? Cheryl David, Lindsay Gauzza, Michelle David. It’s nearly impossible express my gratitude merely through words. The first interview took two hours at the beginning when I met Cheryl and explained my immigration status, and after she heard my history and reviewed my documents, she looked at me and she said I made a big mess but at the same time she said my case is also strong therefore there is some possibility and hope. She gave me a new hope; one that I had lost through the rejection of others. I told her that I read the review on AVVO and that I came to her with hope. As I explained my situation, I couldn’t stop crying. Right before final interview, my wife and I sat with her few times and we studied the case for the final interview. I cannot thank her enough for her patience and breakdown piece by piece explanations. She is the most extraordinary lawyer I have ever met. No one, until her, was willing to put together the messy puzzle pieces and create the entire picture and for that, I am forever grateful. Lindsay- My wife and I set with her few times to study the case. She was our angel safe guard especially during the final interview at the federal Plaza. My wife needed an interpreter and he was putting our case in jeopardy. Lindsay spoke up from back and saved us from the drown. If Lindsay was not there, we would be in a much worse place today. Michelle- I have no word to describe her efforts because she did so much to help me. From day one until the final day, she was non-stop, restlessly, back and forth, working with us. Weekends, holidays, all types of weather, Covid-19, yet, nothing stopped her. In her whole career, this was her most complicated case to count. And she won. She is my life time hero. Team effort- Office staff have fantastic communication, positive attitude. Super organized.
