Mother's Review

Nothing can compare with the experience of having your child arrested and not being able to do anything about it. I will forever owe a debt of gratitude to this firm for not only getting my son out, but holding my hand the entire time. This was a weekend, and the entire staff was available to answer ...my questions and deal with the posting of the bond. If you have never got through a 72 hour surety you can not imagine the horrible experience this is while your son sits in the vile rikers island. Remarkable people, more then a business.

Detailed Review of the Spodek Law Firm

My husband's employer received a payroll request form from HRA/BFI requesting all of his payroll records. My husbands employer told him in secrecy and immediately I started to freak out and research the situation online. I came across numerous websites but none as comprehensive as Spodeks. I setup ap...pointments with all of the lawyers who seemed to do this work and there was no question that Spodek's firm was the right fit. Mr. Spodek and his paralegals know the process in and out. The consultation which was free (unlike one of the other attorneys who wanted $360.00) was over an hour long with no pressure to retain them whatsoever. One lawyer tried to tell us we were are risk of immediate arrest and we should hire them to avoid a criminal record, which turned out not to be accurate. Spodek explained by accepting benefits you are authorizing the city to investigate your income, your household and other variables which would effect your eligibility for benefits. They had a laptop which they showed us the exact document which my husbands job received and walked us through each part of the subpoena. They then showed me a target letter which would be next unless the case was referred directly for civil or criminal prosecution. We then went through a CDR which detailed the benefits that are paid out on behalf of an individual and lastly they showed me a criminal complaint with the same investigator as my husband had. I met with them in the Manhattan office on they 46th floor and is a very nice professional office. However, as I work in Brooklyn I dropped off the documents and dealt primarily with Shantal in that office which is also very nice. The comments in regards to the online system is true it's great and a very nice way to track your case. I will say that the fee charged here is higher then the other lawyers but my husband and I felt it was well worth it. We wound up setting the case, avoiding criminal prosecution and meeting with the investigators at HRA. All of the investigators were very accommodating and my husband and I never had to meet one on one with them. They signed the settlement documents in Spodeks conference room and the investigators agreed to come there. The only thing I would agree is that it's very hard to just call and reach the attorney, they want to schedule a specific time.

The Nicest Team of Lawyers

I was referred to Spodek through an old client of his fathers for a divorce. The day I retained them they filed the divorce. This alone made me feel quite at ease as they are efficient. We discussed in detail the real issues in the divorce and why I should settle early on. The entire firm takes the ...position that spending endlessly on the divorce will at the end benefit the lawyers more then the litigants. What law fim tells you this?

AMAZING LAWYER. CASE DISMISSED!!!!!!

TODD SPODEK IS AMAZING. THE PARALEGAL ALEX ZHIK IS AMAZING. I was falsely accused of attempted robbery and initially started out with a Legal Aid attorney. The Legal Aid would not take my calls or return them and would not speak to me before court. I did some heavy research and decided to go with Spo...dek Law, and these guys got RESULTS!! What I mean by results is they got the case DISMISSED. No indictment, nothing. Todd and Alex assured me that we would receive a favorable outcome and we did. He did exactly what I hired him to do. When Todd was in court, Alex was ALWAYS available. By always I mean always. I never had any issues getting information about the case. I never once felt like they were giving me the cold shoulder or were too busy. These guys did such a great job that it brought me to tears. I am so happy this is finally behind me and I can move on with my life. I will be putting a retainer with Spodek Law in the event I ever need their services again. Guys if you can see this, I am pretty sure you know who this is and I thank you so much. From the bottom of my heart I appreciate you. You guys don't mess around. Anyone reading this, you need to go with these guys. They will not let you down. Spodek Law doesn't only represent you and know the law, they know how to navigate through your case. They know exactly what is the appropriate course of action to receive a favorable outcome. I would called Alex in panic mode and he'd always reassure me that they were doing their best. This Law firm deserves 20 stars. Todd was in court before me!!! He's very confident and he represented me with a demeanor that is deserving of the respect of any official in the courtroom. Todd has also been featured in numerous news telecasts. Todd, thank you for everything. Alex, thank you for everything. Seriously you guys. Slam dunk

Medicaid Fraud Criminal Prosecution

My family and I retained Mr. Spodek to represent us in a medicaid fraud investigation, that was referred for criminal prosecution. We interviewed every attorney in this field, and all agreed that we felt most comfortable with Mr. Spodek's firm. Unlike the other attorneys, this is firm has a thorough ...understanding of the process (administrative, civil litigation, state prosecution and federal prosecution) Every staff member (Shantal De Los Santos, Alex Zhik, etc) we interacted with had experience with this exact situation and they made us all feel calm and in good hands. This firm has real offices, with real staff, not just BS online marketing that some of the attorneys have. We researched Mr. Spodek's cases and can see the vast amount of fraud cases that he actually represents clients, and goes to trial on their behalf (you can check WebCrims.) Other attorney's seemed to promote themselves as trial attorneys yet they don't try any cases. In our initial consultation with Mr. Spodek and Mr. Zhik, Mr. Spodek said, and really is the truth that all of his clients come into the office in the worst situation of their lives and the only guarantee he can offer is that he will devote the time and energy to our case and to obtaining the best result possible. With the vast amount of prior experience we can use to our clients advantage. They were both very honest and truthful and said you have to manage your expectations. We can't magically solve the problem, we can help you navigate it and together make the best decision. We even discussed the bad reviews that I read and he honestly said that his clients are not in a good place to start, and often times they have a difficult time accepting the reality of the situation which leads to misunderstandings. I found him to be very practicable and straight forward. He didn't promise anything that he couldn't keep. This is my experience.
