Excellent Service!!!

The firm represented me in a medicaid and food stamps fraud case with social services. I had to pay back money but I can happily say the firm treated me with nothing but respect and consideration. I really appreciate that I can always reach Todd, Alex and Shantal by their cell phone and text. I also ...went to the Queens office in LIC which was very close to my house and I can drive and park there. I would have never made it to the Manhattan or Brooklyn office.

Detailed Review of the Spodek Law Firm

My husband's employer received a payroll request form from HRA/BFI requesting all of his payroll records. My husbands employer told him in secrecy and immediately I started to freak out and research the situation online. I came across numerous websites but none as comprehensive as Spodeks. I setup ap...pointments with all of the lawyers who seemed to do this work and there was no question that Spodek's firm was the right fit. Mr. Spodek and his paralegals know the process in and out. The consultation which was free (unlike one of the other attorneys who wanted $360.00) was over an hour long with no pressure to retain them whatsoever. One lawyer tried to tell us we were are risk of immediate arrest and we should hire them to avoid a criminal record, which turned out not to be accurate. Spodek explained by accepting benefits you are authorizing the city to investigate your income, your household and other variables which would effect your eligibility for benefits. They had a laptop which they showed us the exact document which my husbands job received and walked us through each part of the subpoena. They then showed me a target letter which would be next unless the case was referred directly for civil or criminal prosecution. We then went through a CDR which detailed the benefits that are paid out on behalf of an individual and lastly they showed me a criminal complaint with the same investigator as my husband had. I met with them in the Manhattan office on they 46th floor and is a very nice professional office. However, as I work in Brooklyn I dropped off the documents and dealt primarily with Shantal in that office which is also very nice. The comments in regards to the online system is true it's great and a very nice way to track your case. I will say that the fee charged here is higher then the other lawyers but my husband and I felt it was well worth it. We wound up setting the case, avoiding criminal prosecution and meeting with the investigators at HRA. All of the investigators were very accommodating and my husband and I never had to meet one on one with them. They signed the settlement documents in Spodeks conference room and the investigators agreed to come there. The only thing I would agree is that it's very hard to just call and reach the attorney, they want to schedule a specific time.

Excellent Attorney

I was referred to Todd from a former client of the firms for an HRA investigation in regards to welfare benefits fraud. I wound up receiving the same type of letter that my colleague received. The firm is very high tech and has a system in which you can track the status of your investigation on your ...smart phone. They have worked with the powers that be at HRA for a long time so they have very good relationships and have the data to support their position as to what is the best resolution.

You will not regret using Todd! A honest review

This team rocks! I came to Todd back in April 2017 in a panic like most of us that find our we are being investigated by HRA fraud department. At this time I haven't receives a target letter from them but I was notified by my job that an HRA investigator came to requesting information regarding me...(which is even more scary then getting the target letter)I instantly went on the internet like we all do and called around to different firms who specialize in HRA Fraud investigation. The moment I spoke to Todd on the phone he cleared his calendar for that afternoons to meet with me even after I had him on the phone for 30 Mins asking a million questions. I went to the Lower manhattan office and met with him. From the time he greeted me his aura gave off a warmth and welcoming feeling.I explained my situation and he instantly told me what my outcome would be and promise me I would be fine. He said as honest and straightforward about with me about everything. Which made me feel more at easy and able to sleep that night. During the whole consultation he did not once make me feel like it was about the money or try to convince me to go with his firm . He insist that I think it over and to get back to him. I had tried another firm earlier that morning prior to going to Todd in the afternoon and was told the worst cases only, along with a ridiculous price. Being the kind of person I am I believe first impression means everything so I went with Todd and Spodek firm so glad I did. They sent out a letter of representation to the HRA fraud investigator the same day I decide to go with them and uploaded everything to mycase. Todd price is very reasonable compare to other place that I called around to and he also work with you as far as paying. Todd was available when I called but I mainly dealt with his paralegal Shantal. Shantal is AMAZING she answered whenever I called, unless she was in court or in the HRA building. She also communicated by text if she was in court or with HRA to let you know she will call you in a few. I promise you she will keep you updated. Sometimes she would just reach out to me without me even making any attempts to keep me updated. If you don't hear from them immediately don't get upset they deal with a million HRA cases a day, but they will get back to you. What was suppose to be a 3-4mnth process was literally a little over 4 wks. I didn't have to meet with the HRA investigator everything was done on my behalf by Todd and Shantal. PLEASE do not go to deal with HRA investigators on your own!! trust me you will dig a bigger hole for your self. This firm got me a great outcome, I settle out this afternoon and felt good about it. Trust me Todd and his team are great. We all see reviews and get discouraged. I honestly promise you that you will not be dissatisfied, don't not believe those bad reviews you read. I'm glad I didn't because I would be still dealing with this matter. Thank you guy so much you all are amazing.

A Mensch

My parents recently moved to Florida and had received a letter from Human Resources Administration regarding benefits they received when they were residing in Brooklyn, NY. There was an issue with some of the information that my parents put on their application/recertification's and some real estate... holdings and rental income that they had at that time. My parents received the letter and almost had a heart attack, we immediately researched Medicaid fraud lawyers in Florida and was recommended to Spodek Law in NY as this was a NY case. We had a consultation over the phone and immediately felt at ease with Todd. He charges a flat fee and answered all of our questions regardless how inconsequential they were. My parents nor I ever had the opportunity to meet with Todd in person but he is honest, straight forward and took care of my parents. He's a nice guy and a mensch and I am happy that I was put in touch with him.
