You Won't Be Disappointed

I knew from my first call into his office that he was the right attorney for us. He is very professional as well as his staff. Tom was able to reduce the ticket considerably from facing points, suspension and possible jail time to having no points, no suspension and a much lower ticket cost! Can't be...at his service!

the reviews are true!

After doing extensive searches through online reviews, ratings, attorney websites, etc. I narrowed my search down to 3 lawyers. I first reached out to Tom, as he had excellent reviews (and a lot of them!), an office right in town, and a fixed rate. After making an online inquiry, I was surprised to r...eceive a reply from Tom almost instantly so I set up an appt for a consultation. After meeting with Tom, I decided not to pursue the other options. I could tell from the first meeting that I trusted him to handle this very serious issue for me. This was my first time dealing with this type of legal matter was in a very bad situation to say the least (facing 9 charges in Sup Court!) I was extremely anxious and afraid of what could happen, but Tom eased my fears - explaining everything calmly and optimistically but without making any unrealistic promises. In the weeks before my court date, Tom provided me with guidance on what to do and shared all info he received pertaining to my case. Everything he told me was spot on. Also, Tom's office was excellent in keeping me informed and replying to all my emails and calls. (My boyfriend wasn't so fortunate and had horrible experiences with other attorney offices - they barely gave him any info on his case, we had to beg for a reply to emails, never even got discovery, one office gave him the wrong date for hearing resulting in a bench warrant, and another even sent him to the wrong courthouse!) I was so relieved that I chose Tom's office - they were top notch! Tom guided me through it all and I never felt alone. I witnessed firsthand that Tom is well recognized and respected; Court staff knew him by name, and he navigated me through all of the court processes (appearances, applications, etc) perfectly. I've already recommended Tom to others, and I encourage anyone facing a criminal matter to make an appointment for a consultation and you will see for yourself!

Professional, thorough, excellent.

I would recommend Thomas Carroll Blauvelt, Esq. and his office/staff to anyone. They are super professional, detailed and thorough. I found them through avvo and there is good reason for the vast amount of glowing reviews. From the moment I contacted the office, I spoke with Tom directly and he immed...iately put me at ease and explained all my options and the steps to be taken in detail. They got started on both of my cases immediately and kept me informed of everything every step of the way. Both of my driving violations were dismissed and I am extremely relieved and grateful for them. I did not know what to expect and what penalties I would receive and needed guidance and hand holding. That is exactly what I got from Tom and his team. If you are in need of any of the services they provide, you will not be disappointed!

What an outstanding defense service we were provided!

In March 2010 me and my wife called Attorney Blauvelt to defend us against a serious charge (9:6-1B) which started in Municipal Court and got quickly escalated to Superior Court. In April 2010 we were already signing into a minimal period of PTI (6 months), which his Law Offices managed to negotiate ...with the prosecutor. In Nov 2015 our case was successfully dismissed and closed without any cost to us. Throughout the defense process Attorney Blauvelt kept us updated, which included several face to face sessions in his office. Given that we were non-U.S. citizens he was very diligent in explaining to us every detail of the law pertaining to our case and the consequences of every motion and decision made. Additionally, his service fees were very affordable, especially given the fact that both me and my wife were International Students at that time without any regular income. Later on when we moved out of NJ to another state, Attorney Blauvelt helped us expunge our arrest records without us even having to appear in NJ. Now after 7 years, we are in the process of adjusting our status to permanent resident in U.S. and quickly finding out that in addition to state laws we must also satisfy the requirements of the Federal Immigration Law. Looking back at our case we are extremely grateful to Attorney Blauvelt and his Law Offices for handling our case in such a manner that we were not convicted not only under NJ state law but also under Federal Immigration Law, because he and his assisting attorney were very careful in making sure that we as non-U.S. citizens did not plead guilty as a condition for being offered a minimal duration PTI program. Had we done so, under the Federal Immigration Law we would have become automatically ineligible for immigration to U.S. He is the real professional and one of the best lawyers in NJ. I would very strongly recommend Attorney Blauvelt and his Law Offices to anyone who is seeking a reliable defense service. PS: Even after 7 years, Attorney Blauvelt is responding to our queries on the past matter and providing invaluable support in our immigration process.

The Municipal Prosecutor did not stand a chance with Mr. Blauvelt

I never met with this attorney in person because I do not live in New Jersey. We spoke on the phone once and I him retained based on all of the positive information that I found online and his reasonable flat fee. Within a day or two he was on the case and sent me what he sent to the prosecutor. I kn...ew that the city was in for a battle if they did not drop my charges which, if convicted, I faced "mandatory" jail time. Well, he let me know that a bail was set, I paid the bail, and in about thirty days he'd left me a voicemail letting me know that everything was dismissed. The money order that I used to pay the bail was in my mailbox before I even knew that the case was resosolved; they never had a chance to cash the money order because he was on them from the start and they did not want to deal with him. And I still have only spoken to him just one time. This guy was awesome. His staff was awesome. Within a month after retaining Mr. Blauvelt I am able to get a driver's license again and will not have to pay a single red cent more than I owed prior to retaining him. I highly recommend him as legal counsel. After all was said and done, he even threw in some advise as a bonus. I instructed me on what I could do to get the bail back, which I had, and what I should do in order to get the process of restoring of my license going. The legal profession at it finest!
