Seriously an AMAZING lawyer!!!!!

Mr. Blauvelt was seriously amazing. He was nice and helpful over the phone, and I believed that I hired a competent and good attorney at first. However once I saw him in action, that quickly changed to KNOWING I chose a GREAT attorney and competent would be an understatement for him. I was pulled ...over for driving with a suspended license as well as no liability coverage on the car. I was nervous since that was my second time getting pulled over in NJ with no liability, and the fines for that are about $1,000 and suspended drivers license. About 5 minutes after he got to the court house he spoke with the prosecutor, got the no liability downgraded to not having the insurance card in the car and a mere $106 fine. I mean, how much better can you do than that. He literally worked a miracle. In regards to the driving while suspended; since I was able to prove that I had paid the citation that the system was saying my license was suspended for , he was able to get a mere suspended license for 10 days and a meaningless fine for a few bucks. This lawyer has the connections, knowledge and guts which are all ABSOLUTELY necessary for you to be successful in fighting traffic citations. If anyone tells you that, "you can do it by yourself" or "hire the cheapest attorney", please do me a favor and don't listen to them. Mr. Baluvelt is incredibly fair priced (actually one of the cheaper attorneys I consulted with), and knows what he is doing, as well as being a 10/10 on Avvo. You cannot get better than that. If you don't believe me, just keep on reading. Literally EVERY review has something positive to say with a GREAT outcome attached to it. I want to thank Mr. Blauvelt for helping me through this, as well as doing it in a way where I felt like I was talking to a friend who CARED, and not like many other lawyers who after they get your money, don't want to hear from you until it comes time for you to review them. Whenever I called he was available (or called me back within the day). He is an experienced attorney and I SERIOUSLY advise anyone who needs an attorney for matters like this to give Mr. Blauvelt a call. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!

the reviews are true!

After doing extensive searches through online reviews, ratings, attorney websites, etc. I narrowed my search down to 3 lawyers. I first reached out to Tom, as he had excellent reviews (and a lot of them!), an office right in town, and a fixed rate. After making an online inquiry, I was surprised to r...eceive a reply from Tom almost instantly so I set up an appt for a consultation. After meeting with Tom, I decided not to pursue the other options. I could tell from the first meeting that I trusted him to handle this very serious issue for me. This was my first time dealing with this type of legal matter was in a very bad situation to say the least (facing 9 charges in Sup Court!) I was extremely anxious and afraid of what could happen, but Tom eased my fears - explaining everything calmly and optimistically but without making any unrealistic promises. In the weeks before my court date, Tom provided me with guidance on what to do and shared all info he received pertaining to my case. Everything he told me was spot on. Also, Tom's office was excellent in keeping me informed and replying to all my emails and calls. (My boyfriend wasn't so fortunate and had horrible experiences with other attorney offices - they barely gave him any info on his case, we had to beg for a reply to emails, never even got discovery, one office gave him the wrong date for hearing resulting in a bench warrant, and another even sent him to the wrong courthouse!) I was so relieved that I chose Tom's office - they were top notch! Tom guided me through it all and I never felt alone. I witnessed firsthand that Tom is well recognized and respected; Court staff knew him by name, and he navigated me through all of the court processes (appearances, applications, etc) perfectly. I've already recommended Tom to others, and I encourage anyone facing a criminal matter to make an appointment for a consultation and you will see for yourself!

Amazing lawyer!

Thomas knows what he's doing and he's great at it. Relatively cheap lawyer compared to others in Woodbridge and his work is exceptional. He reassured me and made sure I knew what was going on at every step of the way. The outcome of my case was better than I was going for. What more could I ask for i...n a lawyer?

AMAZING

I hired Mr. Thomas Blauvelt to resolve a suspended drivers license that had plagued me for 17 years. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical after reading through so many glowing reviews (especially considering he charged a low flat rate fee), I thought to myself... there was no way he's that good, these rev...iews have to be fake or exaggerated. Boy, was I WRONG!!! With the court date now in the rear view mirror, I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Here's a quick summary: 1. Mr. Blauvelt was able to reduce the cost of fines by almost 90%! That alone covered almost the entire amount I spent hiring him!!! 2. With multiple tickets, he worked his magic and I will have ZERO points added to my license. That's going to save me hundreds/thousands $$$$ over the next few years. 3. I didn't even have to appear in court or travel to NJ since I live out of state. Mr. Blauvelt handled everything for me. 4. Every question was answered promptly by him or his staff within a matter of minutes. I even called him once late at night - he called me back immediately and very politely answered all my questions!! WOW! 5. Even AFTER the case was settled he was more than happy to answer all my questions and told me to contact him anytime. Talk about genuine concern!!! Most lawyers would have tried desperately to avoid calls, especially considering the matter had been settled. I am positively floored by his willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty. I almost never write reviews, except in extreme cases where I feel it is my obligation to assuage any doubts in one's mind about whether they should hire him. This is one of of those times. THANK YOU to Mr. Blauvelt and his wonderful team.

Professional, thorough, excellent.

I would recommend Thomas Carroll Blauvelt, Esq. and his office/staff to anyone. They are super professional, detailed and thorough. I found them through avvo and there is good reason for the vast amount of glowing reviews. From the moment I contacted the office, I spoke with Tom directly and he immed...iately put me at ease and explained all my options and the steps to be taken in detail. They got started on both of my cases immediately and kept me informed of everything every step of the way. Both of my driving violations were dismissed and I am extremely relieved and grateful for them. I did not know what to expect and what penalties I would receive and needed guidance and hand holding. That is exactly what I got from Tom and his team. If you are in need of any of the services they provide, you will not be disappointed!
