Highly recommend

On my way in to first day of work at a new job, I had a minor accident on Route 22 in NJ. I pulled over and made sure other driver was okay and shared insurance info with the other driver. Seeing everything was okay and I still had time to make it in on-time to my new job, I left accident site to g...et to work. I suggested the other driver might want to call police to give report. I spoke to the police officer via phone an hour later to give my report. To my surprise, a few days later in mail, I received summons for "leaving the scene of the accident" carrying up to a $2500 fine with loss of license, "failure to report an accident", and "unsafe lane change." Well I knew two of the tickets were wrong since I pulled over, made sure the driver was okay and swapped insurance – I did internet search to checked the statute and found explanation on Attorney Thomas Blauvett's website to see there was no requirement to wait for a police officer to arrive at scene (although after my experience I suggest you always do). I knew there was a police report to vindicate me but I had no idea if that was good enough, I didn't know if I needed witnesses…I basically didn't know how to handle the situation…and I didn't want to lose my license or pay huge fines. I chose Thomas Carroll Blauvett, LLC to represent me after I did search on Nolo.com seeing that he came recommended and had good background handling such cases. With the recommendation and his reasonable fee, the decision was easy. I'm extremely happy with the outcome. Thomas handled all the negotiation with the prosecutor which resulted in dropped charges on the leaving the scene citation and reduced failure to report citation to failure to notify police in a timely manner. He also was able to have the failure to notify judgment sealed which protects me from future insurance claims. I didn't have to do any work other than answer a few simple questions from the judge. The fines were much less than expected and he even swayed judge to reduce one of the fines that may have doubled because the accident happened in safe corridor. I'm glad I made decision to ask Thomas Carroll Blauvett, LLC to represent me.

Carless Driving Ticket Dismissed

I recieved a ticket for carless driving. This is the end of the world when your a truck driver. Thomas knew it so he went the extra mile to defend me. He took the ticket all the way. The officer was ordered to show up and never showed. I had enough cofidence in Thomas that if the officer did sho...w, I would be in good hands. Ticket dismissed. Career saved.

Defies what one typically thinks (or hears jokes) about lawyers

Tom turned out to be a fantastic lawyer. He handled a case regarding a serious juvenile DUI charge and his handling of thyis case was, in a word, "Masterful". Due to his knowledge of the law, perseverance, and ability to negotiate, he helped us out in ways you cannot event begin to imagine. The on...ly less-than-optimal aspect of this experience for us was that he did not keep us as informed as much as I had expected. I must add though, some of my expectations with regard to information transfer came from concern about the charges and costs; worry. And, when we were togehter to discuss statusand next steps, his advice and recommendations on how we should proceed where well founded, accurate. Lastly, Tom treats you like a human being, not like just another case. Highly recommend you consider him for your legal needs.

Positive Performance Review

Mr. Blauvelt provided a comprehensive, thorough and knowledgable defense for a DWI charge I received in 2008. His expertise in matters associated with the law, the circumstances of the charge(s) against me, his access to and arrangement for expert advice and his knowledge of the court system --both a...s a defense attorney and a former prosecutor --served me well in mitigating what could have been catastrophic to me. The final judgement was fair and balanced, and justice was served for all parties involved, due mainly to his skill and experience, and his talent for negotiation in all matters related to operating a motor vehicle in the State of New Jersey.
