Edison, NJ - DUI Case

This past April, I was charged with a DUI with 0.18 BAC, failure to maintain lane, reckless driving and driving to close to the vehicle in front of me. In other words, I was pretty much looking at 7 months without my license, an interlocking device hooked up to my car for the following 6 months, fine...s up the wazoo, and I don’t even know how many points on my license. After doing some research online, I found Mr. Blauvelt on avvo.com and was quite impressed with all his positive reviews, especially for DUI/DWI cases. I decided to reach out to him and boy what a smart decision that turned out to be. Instantly, I knew I had picked the “right” lawyer by just the questions he was asking me in the free consultation. Instead of explaining me his fees and the fines I was facing, he was trying to learn about every minute detail of that night, hoping to find any mistake(s) that the state trooper may have done Ultimately, Mr. Blauvelt was able to get my BAC reading removed from my case, dropping my penalty to a much less severe punishment (90 days suspension vs. 7 months suspension + 6 months interlocking device). He and his expert had found an error in the breathalyzer report, which made my reading questionable. In addition, Mr. Blauvelt was able to get my other three tickets dismissed. I high recommend Mr. Thomas Blauvelt not only for his professionalism and expertise, but also for his devotion and willingness to help his clients. Thank you again Tom.

The Judge said it was “Magic”!

By the time I got in trouble with the law, a DWI offence, I was confused and afraid of what was going to happen with me. I then scheduled a free consultation with Mr. Thomas Carroll Blauvelt. He immediately stroked me by his positive view of my case. In that first meeting he already started to ask m...e questions about how the police handled my case and how my breath test was taken. He could readily spot flaws in the breath analysis procedure only from what I said. Very important, he was not judgmental about what I did wrong with the law. So I feel quite comfortable exposing my case to him. Suffice to say that I hired him on spot and felt secure that I was being strongly defended. My case pointed to a 7 to 9 months suspension of my driver’s license, but Mr. Blauvelt always kept the positive perspective that my penalties could be ameliorated. And he did his job: with clinic eyes he caught inconsistencies on the police reports and handled an excellent deal with the prosecutor that agreed to let out the breath analysis from my case. Without that I got an attenuated 3 months suspension of my license and the dismissal of one of the accompanying offences. At the end of the Court session even the judge (I tough one) gave compliments to Mr. Blauvelt and literally used the word “Magic” to describe the job that Mr. Blauvelt did for me! high end profesional

i was charged with DUI in Atlantic county NJ and i was facing 7 months of license suspension, fines and expensive breathalyzer engine initiator into my car. Mr. Thomas Carroll reviewed the case with me and instantly found several flaws in the troopers report.Thomas Carroll Blauvelt represente...d me in court on February ninth 2011, He worked wary hard with the prosecutor to get me the best outcome. Thomas saw the solution to a very complicated situation from minute one

My son had gotten himself into a very bad situation. Through a variety of offenses, small and large, he was facing up to three years of a suspended license, thousands in fines and perhaps a small bit of jail time. The events that led to this occurred in more than five municipalities. So Thomas B...lauvelt, Esq. had to deal with those plus the MVC (on multiple occasions). It was a delicate process because he had to return to first return to a court and re-open a case that had been decided against my son; he had to make sure that the courts were heard in the proper order (i.e., he had to make sure that one of the courts reinstated my son's drivers license before going to the next hearing at another court - otherwise he wouldn't get the favorable decision we were looking for). What was/is remarkable is that Thomas saw the entire layout of what had to happen during my first call with him. He noted that an oversight had been made in the original case and that he was pretty sure he could get it overturned. After that occurred, he could then have a second court decision reversed because it had been decided the way it had been because of the results of the first court decision, etc., etc. It was a masterly vision of how to fix all of this and he saw all the steps that needed to be taken and in the proper order. Then, he simply executed what needed to be done; with each hearing or trial taking place in the order necessary and with the needed result (or better) in each one. It really was like a chess player who can see 5, 10, 20 moves ahead and it was really amazing to watch. We've had the need to use his services several times since we first retained Thomas and each time we have received courteous, intelligent, professional and effective guidance - with positive results every time. There is simply no other way to say this, if you are need of legal advise, counseling or representation in the states of New Jersey or New York you cannot find a more professional and effective attorney than Thomas Blauvelt, Esq.

Great Lawyer.

Mr. Blauvelt help me start to finish on my drug charges, was able to work with the court to get my license back and small little fine. I would use him again if I ever run into trouble. Thank you for your hard work and time, and best wishes to you in the future thanks again.
