Good Outcome in a Bad Situation

I was facing 7 to 12 months suspension, interlock device, and multiple other problems. Tom was very careful and went through my case with a fine toothed comb. He found some inconsistencies with the police records and got the breath test thrown out, speeding ticket thrown out, and reckless driving d...own to careless driving. I walked away with the minimum 3 month suspension thanks to Tom. He even drove me home in pouring rain the night I had to surrender my license.

Incredible/DWI Dismissed!

I was facing a charge of DWI after driving home from New York City through New Jersey to Pennsylvania. I looked online and found Mr. Blauvelt. To state it simply: choosing Mr. Blauvelt was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. First of all he is an extremely friendly man and I fel...t that I could trust him with my life. In terms of his professionalism, Mr. Blauvelt exceeds all expectations. You don't have to go through the trouble of dealing with an attorney that is hard to reach, because Mr. Blauvelt makes himself accessible to you at all times. After examining all of the evidence, Mr. Blauvelt seemed sure that my case would be dismissed, and sure enough it was! The greatest outcome possible! If you are seeking an attorney for a DWI, or any legal issue for that matter; I highly suggest, no, BEG you to give Mr. Blauvelt a call, because he will do everything in his power to fight for you in your case. This was my first experience in dealing with a legal offense and I will always give Mr. Blauvelt a call should I or any of my friends or family experience a legal issue in the future.

Outstanding!!!

My son received a DWI. As a parent, you are going through many emotions -- you are angry at your child for being so irresponsible and yet worried on the ramifications of appearing in court. We interviewed a few attorneys but didn't feel comfortable. After reading some online reviews of attorneys i...n the area, I decided to reach out to Mr. Blauvelt. After meeting with him, he immediately put my wife and I at ease. He clearly told us step by step what the procedure was going to be. He made us feel comfortable in a situation that is anything but comfortable. After reviewing the details of our case, he pointed out some irregularities in the way the field sobriety tests were given and also in how the breathalyzer tests were administer. He is definitely very knowledgeable in DWI cases and can pinpoint any abnormalities in the process. He is also very cordial and has a good rapport with the prosecutors and judges. In doing that he pointed out the problems in my son's particular case. And even though we had a chance to win the whole case if we went to trial, we decided to take the lower plea of 90 days suspension. Without Mr. Blauvelt we may have been facing one year suspension and installing a device into my son's car. Through-out this ordeal, Mr. Blauvelt was very accessible through phone or e-mail. Given his knowledge, demeanor, accessibility, and competency; I would highly recommend using his services.

DWI/Failure to Submit/Leaving the Scene Dismissed - Tom is an expert - Do not hesitate to hire him

If you need an attorney for any type of traffic violation, I would highly recommend Tom. I was charged with a DWI, refusal to submit, leaving the scene (I hit a deer), failure to report and failure to keep right. While my car was damaged from hitting the deer, it was still drivable. It was lat...e and very cold outside so I decided to go home and deal with the insurance company in the morning. I drove a couple of miles and my tire went flat. I pulled over to the side of the road and called my wife. About 20 minutes later, as my wife pulled up, a police cruiser from the local township pulled up as well. He asked me what happened and I explained everything to him. He asked me if I had been drinking and I told him that I had two drinks. He asked me if I would submit to a field sobriety test and I said yes. I passed the field sobriety test and he asked me to sit in my car while his Sargent checked out where I hit the deer. The Sargent pulled up about 20 minutes later and said that since the accident happened in another township, they contacted them and they would want to talk to me. The police officer from the other township pulled up and came over to my car. By his tone, I could tell he was very aggravated to be dealing with this. He asked me what happened and then asked me to step out of the car. He asked me to do a field sobriety test which I did again. He said I was “border-line”, but that he was going to charge me with DWI. At the station, the police officer asked me to submit to a Breathalyzer test. Since I had heard that they were inaccurate, (and I really did not trust him), I refused. The next day I did several hours of research on the internet to find an attorney because up until that night, I never even had a ticket, so did not have one. Given his background as a former prosecutor, I decided to call Tom. I was surprised that he answered the phone as it was the weekend. He asked me to explain everything to him. He was very candid about the seriousness of the DWI, Failure to Submit, and Leaving the Scene, but felt he could help me. He did not understand why I got the ticket for leaving the scene as I had not done damage to someone else’s property. He told me what he charges (a flat fee) which I felt was extremely reasonable. He said that I would have to pay for any experts, copies of the police reports, etc. in addition to his fee. After talking with him, I knew immediately that I wanted to hire him and asked him to send me the necessary paperwork. After nearly five months and three court appearances, Tom successfully had the DWI, Refusal to Submit and Leaving the Scene, dismissed! Tom is an expert in this area. I am extremely happy with the outcome and feel very fortunate to have found him. Not only is a great attorney, he is a really nice guy who really cares about helping his clients. I hope to never need his services again, but would not hesitate to hire him if I did.

DWI Dismissed

The night of, and the morning after my DWI arrest, I was angry, very angry. After researching how harsh DWI laws in NJ are, my anger slowly turned to fear. With a .15 BAC on record, I was looking at a 7-12 month license suspension as well as a mandatory ignition interlock device and unavoidable fines.... I spoke with a handful of friends who had experience with DWI tickets, and all of them said I was screwed. One of them even suggested I save my money and defend myself. I was pulled over by RUPD for supposedly driving at night with headlights/taillights off. Almost immediately after being pulled over, the officer claimed to smell alcohol, and I was asked to step out of the vehicle to perform FST's. After performing the FST's and thinking I passed, I was placed under arrest. I was eventually given two tickets for my headlights/taillights as well as a ticket for DWI. The reason I was angry is because I felt as though I was taken advantage of by the officer. I hired Mr. Blauvelt, and over the course of two months, we discovered that I was indeed taken advantage of that night. Not only were all of my lights on, but it turns out I didn't perform as bad on the FST's as the officer stated - he didn't even administer them properly. The officer also failed to take breath samples correctly, challenging the validity of the .15 reading. Long story short, the DWI was dismissed due to probable cause issues. I don't know the real reason why I was pulled over, but I can only speculate that I was merely an end of the month quota stop. It's complete bull that cops can do stuff like this, but when you have the right attorney, the facts will shine through. FWIW, I have a strong distrust of cops, and I don't feel much better about lawyers. In spite of that, however, I'd fully recommend Mr. Blauvelt, without hesitation. He's not a salesman like most others.
