Mr. Lederman has been very helpful throughout my legal ordeal. My case was more complicated that the average DUI case due to the fact that I also had a small amount of marijuana in the car, along with other lesser charges such as failure to maintain a lane and a third brake light being out. Mr.... Lederman recommended that I complete counseling sessions with a certified drug and alcohol counselor whom he works closely with, and I found these meetings extremely helpful and valuable. Adding to the complicated nature of this case, I am also a healthcare professional, and having a license as a healthcare professional means significant consequences in terms of my career and my license after being convicted of a DUI and/or drug charge. Mr. Lederman was able to have my marijuana charge dropped and after challenging the results of my Alcotest for BAC reading, the BAC reading was deemed inadmissible and I received the lowest tier DUI after originally testing into the tier two level for DUI based on my initial BAC reading. My charges ended up being a tier one DUI, no criminal charges (drug charges) and some other fines that will not appear on a criminal background check. I am extremely thankful for the results that Mr. Lederman has been able to help me achieve and I have truly learned invaluable lessons from my experience. I know that my poor judgment at the time of the incident led to extremely dangerous and irrational decisions being made and I am extremely fortunate and thankful that nothing serious happened as a result of these decisions. Where do I start with my gratitude and sheer reverence for the excellent job Peter has done in both my DWI cases. I was facing a 3rd offense in 2009 , speeding when officer pulled me over, realized I had a few drinks, and charged me with DWI. Peter wrote an excellent PCR( Post Conviction Relief) pet...ition, which got my 2nd offense essentially thrown out , allowing the 3rd offense to become my 2nd for sentencing purposes. This got me 2 years suspension instead of 10 and no jail time. Peter accomplished this even though the petition was outside the 5 year period , he was able to persuade the judge to hear our PCR and agree to the relief! This was no small feat and took a lawyer with the knowledge and expertise Peter possesses to accomplish that. In 2014 , I was again in the same predicament , facing a 3rd offense after a car crash that only involved my car. I was not driving the vehicle when the officer arrived, but because I was noticeably intoxicated and the only person on the scene; the officer proceeded to arrest me and charge me with DWI. Blood was drawn to prove the intoxication and the case went to the courts. Peter filed motions to suppress the blood evidence and expertly argued the case before the superior court. He filed other motions to try to ensure all available defenses/legal arguments where presented. Through and because of Peter’s legal maneuvering , court felt they could not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt , and dismissed the DWI ! I plead guilty to reckless driving with 30 days license suspension and court fines. I cannot express what this has done for my family, Peter has given us our future back , a fresh start. Peter challenged me to get help and do any and all available alcohol rehabilitation to get well and remove alcohol from my life. I had a BAC of .17 and my lic...ense was suspended at the time. I have the worst driving record anyone can have.
