Robbed

Payed $2500 and their lawyer disappeared. Broke the law as I was robbed. Caused the minor case to prolong and damaged my chances of winning including stress on me.

It is impossible to provide an intelligent response to this review given that it is anonymous and there isn't any statement of facts at all to help us research the matter. We would welcome the opportunity to explain our side of the story but I can't even identify who this possibly is or what may have actually transpired in their case.

This wasn't a client of my office. The individual never even spoke to an attorney (there are no female lawyers at the firm and she said she spoke to a women). The person is obviously frustrated because a loved one, who we did not represent, ended up being sentenced to jail/prison. This certainly isn't a reflection on the quality of representation provided by me or my firm since I never even had any contact with the person nor any other lawyer at my firm. There is a good lesson nonetheless that can be found from this misplaced review - get high quality representation long prior to sentencing. The legal system can be unforgiving so you need to make all the right moves. I strongly believe hiring a qualified defense attorney is a must rather than entrusting your case to someone who is overloaded with cases and/or inexperienced. I know we could have helped this individual had she retained us. Now she is left frustrated because of an unfavorable outcome that was the result of some other attorney's efforts. Hopefully, the situation improved for her.

Never called me back

Mr. Marshall never returned my call when a problem came up in my case that his firm was handling. They were quick enough to take money and ask for more. They tried to say that the problem was a whole new case, which was not true but he didn't even call back to discuss with me, just an office worker.... Very disappointed and would never recomend them to anyone.

This former client had their case favorably resolved by another attorney in my firm with admission into Pretrial Intervention on or about October 2015. Their was no complaint or dissatisfaction whatsoever voiced with respect to representation at that time. In fact, the result was the very best that anyone could achieve based on the facts of the case. The client successfully avoided a felony conviction by virtue of the resolution provided she stayed out of trouble for one year, reported to probation as directed and submitted clean urine tests for drugs. In late June 2016, approximately nine months after the case was satisfactorily resolved by my firm, we received a call from the former client indicating that she had violated the terms of Pretrial Intervention and was being brought back into court. I was not aware of the telephone call until this review as it was directed to the attorney in the office who had handled the client's case. The former client was advised that a fee was required to represent her at the termination hearing and that she still owed money on the original case which she had not paid. This is the same conversation that would have occurred had she called any criminal attorney I know. It was only because we required payment, something which every lawyer would have demanded, that the negative review was posted several weeks later. The review has nothing to do with the quality of our representation but rather annoyance because we would not take on new proceedings for free that arose well after we favorably resolved the former client's case.
