I was trying to find out if a hospital policy would supersede State or Federal law since I had 2 employees who told me the hospitals they came from (out of state) had a policy that allowed employees to access their own medical record without consent. I could not find this in my search of HIPAA law i...n my state so I asked the question and Mr. Rafter had an answer for me in less than 5 minutes.
