I posted an AVVO question about the police in my city kicking my door in then, beating and robbing me. Attorney Rafter 111. Gave me a knowledgeable answer to contact the State police or Attorney General in my state. I tried and the sad thing is they refused to help me, as always and told me they had ...no referrals for the either. Color of law violations and Civil Rights violations maxed. I wish Attorney Rafhter practiced in my state. They should be criminally charged and sued for IIED TORT violations. Thanks for trying Attorney Rafter III

I am extremely thankful to Mr. Rafter to be the first response to my question. My situation is very tricky and unpleasant. It may not lead to a lawyer's involvement, but he was willing to take the time and explain my situation and my "almost non-existing" rights. Furthermore, just the way he replies ...makes me know that he's an approachable and kind person. It makes me feel comfortable to read his response and want to reach out for his help. Not all lawyers can give people that feeling, especially when it comes to gender- & race-sensitive topics. I appreciate his non-bias and professionalism.
