None Better !

After being arrested for a DUII, I contacted an attorney friend of mine for a referral. After an exhausting search, he recommended I hire Michael Fremont. For a very reasonable fee, Michael fought on my behalf for 9 months while the DA stonewalled and refused to turn over evidence. He never wavered f...rom his expectations and all documentation was ultimately received. When the District Attorney refused any meaningful settlement negotiations, we set the matter for trial. The trial lasted over 4 days during which time Michael was able to discredit the arresting officer as well as the “expert” witness hired by the prosecution. Because he has always focused on DUII defense; he was able to produce evidence to impeach the expert’s testimony as it directly conflicted with testimony he’d given on another case several years back. Michael believes in what he does and it shows. He’s passionate about the law and understands its applications and nuances better than any other lawyer I’ve known. He constantly processes information before him and formulates solid arguments. He’s well respected in the community and deservingly considered the #1 DUII Defense counsel in San Diego County. At the end of jury deliberations, I received a not-guilty verdict on the (a) count, the jury hung on the (b) count. The Court declared a mistrial and though the DA argued to have the (b) count left open for a retrial; Michael argued vehemently for a dismissal. The court agreed and the (b) count was dismissed.

Very Knowledgable DUI Attorney

I was charged with DUI with a 110 MPH speeding allegation. Charges were reduced to a wet reckless. After over 8 months Mr. Fremont's Cross examination of the arresting officer in a pretrial motion got the DA to finally make an offer of the lesser charge.

A Great DUI Defense Lawyer; Professional, Very Experienced and Detailed, Aggressive and Tough against the Opposition!!

I cannot speak too highly of Mr. Michael Fremont, without doubt he is the best attorney I have ever worked with, and retained the services of. Back in April 2010 I was unfortunate enough to get charged with a second DUI while driving back home. After my first DUI I promised myself never to be so ...foolish, however as I have learned that a second DUI can happen all to easily. Devastated at my own stupidity, and facing some hefty charges; 90days – 1 year in Jail , an 18 Month Course, another 5 years of probation, and additional charges due to the fact that I had violated my current probation. I turned to Mr. Fremont, his advise was sound and very factual, one of the many qualities I admire about him is that he does not hide issues, and lets you know directly the likely outcome of your case ; with some 20+ years experience of DUI defense he has seen every DUI case permutation. Michael explained clearly the jeopardy I was in, while many DUI lawyers would have recommend to try and go for Wet Reckless plea bargain charge, Mr. Fremont recommend against the course of action. The wet reckless charge, although a lesser charge is a prior-able offense, and I would be setting myself up for a third DUI which has some dire consequences . As my BAC level was not screamingly high, he recommend taking my case to court for a full Jury trial. I was apprehensive, however I am so pleased that we took this strategy, Michael’s preparation for the trial was very detailed and thorough , he had prepared some 20+ motions to put my defense on the best footing possible. He had also done his homework and had evidence to the fact that the police BAC measuring equipment was badly calibrated and reading high. In the opening arguments he took the prosecution apart with his own unique aggressive presentation style, and surgical precision laying out the true facts of my case for the jury. We were only 45 minutes into the real trial proceedings, when the prosecutor violated one of the motions Mr. Fremont had filed, the Judge had no option but to declare a miss-trial and all the charges were dropped against me. I cannot thank Mr. Michael Fremont enough, I highly recommend his services there is no better lawyer in San Diego!!

Knowledgeable, Reliable, Dependable, and Excellent Stress Reliever!

While going through the stressful DUI process, it was real assuring for me to know that Michael took any of my calls or returned my calls as soon as he could regarding my serious concerns and keeping me informed of my status. I work very demanding and long hours. Consequently, it was also relievi...ng to me to have a dependable lawyer, such as Michael, to attend one of my two court dates without me present as well as attending the other with me. Just recently, I received a warrant for my immediate arrest and was ordered to turn myself in at the courthouse. I hadn't signed up for my DUI classes, however, I was still within my 90 day requirement before being seen as defiant. The court had me noted as being past my 90 days and ordered the arrest. I was frightened and wasn't sure how to deal with the situation. I had someone drive me to the courthouse and park near the building but I was too frightened to go in without speaking to someone from the courthouse first. I spoke with a court clerk and she said there would be a strong possibility I would be arrested upon entering and checking in. I then called and spoke to someone at the Public Attoreney's office for that district. He said, "Go into the courthouse and immediately look for someone with a tie, he will probably be an attorney, ask him for help." This was unsettleling so I called the Public Attorney's office for another district. The woman who answered stressed that I need to get in touch with the attorney who originally handled my case. I called Michael Fremont (I hadn't spoken with him for 5 monnths simply because there was no need.) He happened to be at the courthouse. He asked for my case number and within 30 minutes, had my warrant pulled and a newly established, later date documented for me to sign up for classes. I truly regret my poor gudgement in getting a DUI in the first place. With Michael Fremont's guidance and ongoing assistance, it put me in a better, more secure mind-set, inabling me to fous on learning from my mistake and living a more productive and healthier lifestyle.

The best DUI attorney out there

In the fall of 09 , i was stopped for suspicion of driving under the influence. After the field sobriety tests and blowing the breathalyzer, the officer concluded i was DUI. I was arrested and sent to San Diego Central jail. Weeks later, i went to court for arrainment. I knew i could NOT just plead g...uilty and ruin my career. I decided to talk with the public defender. The public defenders office took my case. BAD DECISION! The next court date, my public defender kept insisting to me to take " the slightly lesser charge" which was still a DUI. She pretty much told me " it is what it is..... You got a DUI and there is really NO defense for your case. I felt ruined. I knew that with this public defender, I was heading for a sure conviction. I was so upset, but felt like something had to be done. That night, i did some research and came across Michael's website. After looking at his attorney profile, which you can see for yourself, i knew he would be the best representation for my case. Mr. Fremont showed up with me in court to take over my case. I knew i had made a good choice when several other lawyers in the courthouse approached him and knew him well. That day, Mr. Fremont requested a time extension for him to carefully review my case and also set a trial date. A few weeks later, Mr. Fremont called me and told me about some discrepancies found in my case. This was good news. The next court date, during a Motion to Suppress Evidence hearing, Mr. Fremont unleashed his knowledge, aggressiveness, and professionalism. In front of two officers and the prosecutor, the judge granted us the Motion. As a result, the evidence against me was thrown out of court. I can still remember the angry prosecutor's face as he realized his case against me " went down the drain ". Next week Mr. Fremont calls me with great news. No need to go to trial. CASE DISMISSED.
