Elizabeth was incredibly helpful and responsive right from the beginning. Even though I wasn't sure if I had a case initially, she reviewed all of my documents, spoke with me about what I needed to do next, and provided a list of resources that would help. Research is a part of my job, but I know the...re is no way I would have been able to track down the valuable information Elizabeth gave me that I needed to be able to stand up to my former property management company. While my roommates elderly aunt was in a rehab facility her sister and her boyfriend broke into the aunt's apartment & took up residence. They caused so many issues with the neighbors that the landlord threatened to evict the aunt. I sent an email to Elizabeth Rankin Powell explaining the situation... & she immediately called me & helped me complete a vulnerable adult protection order to have the sister excluded from the aunt's apartment. She kept in touch & gave tips on how to present the case to the judge & how to make sure the sister was properly served. Her advice was extremely helpful as my roommate & I live in Oregon & were unfamiliar with Washington laws designed to protect the elderly from abuse. Her familiarity with tenant law was also helpful as she explained to us what the landlord could and could not do with regards to the aunt. Once he knew we were working with an attorney he stopped threatening to evict the aunt & instead stepped up & helped evict my roommates sister. Now my roommates aunt is able to return home without any worries that she will be evicted or face any further issues with her niece. Without the help I received from Ms. Rankin Powell I suspect we would not have had such a positive outcome. I highly recommend her to anyone that needs legal assistance.

Elizabeth jumped right in with both feet to help us do battle with our deadbeat landlord who allowed my family with two small children to live in a house with a completely non-functioning septic system for MONTHS. I am also an attorney, but at the time not licensed to practice in Washington State an...d certainly not knowledgable in this area of law.
