My husband and I were in a very desperate and dire situation regarding a predator landlord that was threatening legal action against us. We had signed a lease digitally online because of Covid 19, and when we arrived to do the house tour- all pictures and video we had seen were completely different t...han was given to us. We had found rot in the sub-floor [in a carpeted bathroom! So disgusting!], and multiple instances of mold and water damage. Thanks so much Elizabeth for a successful outcome in my recent litigation with a landlord who without reason or proof tried to keep my deposit money. This landlord tried to exploit the fact that I could not travel back to WA due to COVID and had to move out with the assistance of others. The landlord... did not follow any kind of process for move-out, ignoring the move-in documentation and fraudulently tried to claim the entire apartment needed painting and cleaning - neither of which was necessary or even proven by them to be needed.
