He calmed me down and explained what we had to do and I was reassured when I found out he handled cases in Skagit County and Bellingham and knew the judges and knew the process. I am always a bit uncertain about attorneys and whether or not they are telling me everything of their best understandings of what the "other side" is intending, but then I'm not sufficiently keen in my perceptions to appreciate what he may want to tell me so he keeps his conversation at my level to ...keep from losing me (thank you). Mr. Kok impresses me as having: 1) excellent knowledge and understanding of his area of law, 2) wisdom in terms of the politics of other attorneys and pertinent judiciary, 3) fluency with the process, 4) temperament that is sensitive to his client, 5) a character that is not shoving his hand into your pocket to get every dollar he can as fast as he can get it. His attention is on his work not your assets and this is immediately noticeable from his demeanor and his spartan office.
