Two Real Estate Purchases

Jeff has guided us through two purchases of real estate. One dealt with a property that was an purchasing a family property. This required real strategy to work with a family selling the home that was not accustomed to dealing in real estate and worrying about family perceptions of the sale. The ot...her was the sale between family members that required that everyone felt as if everything was completed in the most professional manner. In both cases beyond the exceptional legal advice Jeff also guided us through business strategy that worked very effectively toward completion of the sales. I highly recommend Jeff for real estate transactions.

Family Property Dispute

I reached out to Jeff from a referral from another real estate attorney, and I am glad I did. The initial consultation was informative and straight to the point. He accepted our case and gave us reassurance. It was not your usual family property dispute case, but he and his team researched all possib...le solutions to help us. He would provide updates on the case and always kept us in the loop. The case finally wrapped up overtime and we are satisfied with the result. He and his attorney, Chrissy Lord told our side of the story with factual evidence which was never brought up in public before. It was an emotional journey, but we were glad we had Jeff and his team there to guide us. I highly recommend Jeff and his team. They treat your case with care and urgency.

Great experiance

We used Jeff for a lot line adjustment in Seattle. While the process itself was a lot of trouble, it was clear that Jeff's year's of experience helped us get the desired outcome with both the county, the city, and the other property owner.

Extremely well-informed, seasoned and practical counsel

My work involves negotiating particularly complex business relationships, and drafting the underlying contractual agreements, but I know enough to know that I still need expert counsel to inform my residential real estate transactions (particularly amidst the nutty Seattle and Eastside housing market...s). Jeff came highly recommended to me by one of my attorney colleagues, and my experience working with him and his team was exemplary. As an overly detail-oriented person, I valued his point-by-point responses and moreover his responsiveness. Jeff responded so quickly to my various inquiries (including requests to review documents and my proposed clauses) over the course of roughly 3 months that I often felt like I was his only client! In many cases, he even would respond to me over weekends. And when he did take a vacation, his colleague (also his brother) was able to address my concerns swiftly. This is one of the many benefits of retaining a smaller law firm, where agility, a lack of administrative bureaucracy and an obsessively client-based focus can combine to yield significant benefits to clients. I also deeply valued the very practical nature of Jeff's counsel, which gave me the ability to decide how hard I wanted to press a particular matter, given the risk/reward trade-offs associated with each scenario. In my own experience, practical legal guidance is a rare commodity as many attorneys will tend to gravitate toward one extreme or another. Jeff's wealth of experience navigating various types of real estate transactions over many years (and particularly within this wacky housing market) clearly affords him a uniquely balanced, measured perspective. That translates to far more informed risk management calculus, which further strengthens his clients' negotiation strategies and improves their decision-making. I most certainly will retain Jeff for my next real estate transaction.

An outstanding real estate and boundary dispute attorney

My husband and I asked Jeff to help us with the private purchase of a waterfront property. However, this wonderful little seaside cottage was encumbered with a longstanding, festering boundary dispute along with severe encroachment issues that had to be solved before closing. The boundary issue w...as extremely complicated, there were numerous parties involved, and continually during the process, a frothy real estate market tempted the seller to put the property on the open market. Jeff agreed to take on this huge, formidable challenge. He was successful in solving every single aspect and detail of this complicated case. Jeff has the rare combination of being a very skilled, bright attorney as well as being a person of high emotional intelligence. He is also a man of sterling character. Jeff has the mental strength and tenacity that it takes to delicately and successfully navigate and negotiate through all the complexities that this case presented. There were many times when he literally had to drop everything to make our case his top priority. We always felt like our little matter was very important to him. We always knew exactly where our case stood, what was being done and why it was being done, and what was next. Jeff is very approachable, a great listener and my husband and I felt like we were part of his team. Furthermore, he is also a seasoned boundary dispute lawyer. Jeff drafted a huge volume of legal documents that all sailed through the court without a hitch. In all, Jeff worked very, very hard on our case. We couldn't be more pleased. We recommend him highly.
