Impressive Trial Attorney!

I am a dad. After being in the court system for a year and retaining two separate attorneys and volumes of declarations, testimonies and three court hearings I was to enter Family Court to keep my only child from being relocated to Europe without a trial attorney. A person that I trust and know she... does her homework before making a final decision recommended Veronica Freitas to me. She gave me one name and one option, V. Freitas Law Firm. I retained Veronica as my trial attorney in a case to establish a parenting plan and prevent an international relocation of my son. My case warranted but was lacking organization and strategic planning. Veronica’s office immediately got to work on this task and within days had a complete file in order and a game plan in place. In our first meeting Veronica clearly communicated how she would handle my case and she absolutely adhered to that approach. There were no surprises. Her approach was smart, concise, and meaningful. She was tough when necessary – and at times that was directed at me- while she was also caring and contemplative. Veronica is an impressive trial attorney. By the time we entered the courtroom she knew the details of our case and the lifestyle and behaviors of the parties and could recall events from memory throughout the trial. Most importantly Veronica was able to effectively present my case to the courts with great clarity. The trial ended in our favor. The court adopted our parenting plan preventing the relocation of my son! I however am not writing this review because we “won”. Before entering the court on the day we were to get the final decision I expressed the views I have outlined here to Veronica. Veronica is truly a gifted, experienced, accountable and caring attorney. I fully recommend Veronica Freitas and her cast of capable staff to anyone seeking a professional and caring law firm.

Best Lawyer you can ever ask for.

For the past year I was in a custody battle with my ex husband. With a not to nice of a ex husband because of that I had to find a great lawyer that knew what they were doing so in return, Veronica was recommended to me by a dear friend. During the first part of the year it was a little slow and ende...d quickly, but later the case opened wide again. Because of that this whole year, Veronica and her trusty team of paralegals were on my side from the get go. I never worried when speaking with Veronica or her paralegals that it wasn't going to get done. Every thing that I asked in court it was done thanks to her awesome wonderful team before hand and taking care of the smallest details. Felt great knowing she is an awesome lawyer. She is really straight-forward and honest about everything that is needed upfront from you and what she is going to want to get out of the other party. She works very hard on my case sometimes even answering my emails really late into the night, she was there to answer right away. She can be costy but she is worth very dollar in the bank. I have never meet someone quiet like her, she in my eyes is the best lawyer I have seen in court and meet in person. She knows what she is going. She has a graceful way of attacking the other party in court. She loves finding new information and will dig into the other party. It was a delight to watch her and for her to be my lawyer. I felt bad that my ex husband lawyer was so lied to by his own client, I don't think his lawyer knew anything or what he was going for that matter. But Veronica in the end knew all the lies wouldn't add up and I would be good as gold. I'm thankful that Veronica seen early on what type of person my ex husband and lawyer were so she could build a great defence. I am truly thankful to have her as my lawyer and future lawyer if need be it. I won my case and very happy with the outcome thanks to Veronica and her team.

beyond expectations---phenomenal, brilliant, powerful and hardworking attorney!

Veronica entered a complex and highly conflicted relocation case at the 11th hour before a 7 day trial. Every penny was worth it, and more. She is extremely intelligent, efficient and her bills fair. She returned my calls and emails the same day. She worked over time from the start, and when ...it was necessary before trial, over a long holiday weekend. She spent overnights in my area near the courthouse. I have never seen an attorney more prepared or more in charge and determined to win. She owned the courtroom the minute she stepped in. She reversed a GAL recommendation against me by factually and systematically taking apart the report and exposing the errors. She won the case with her intelligence, experience, detailed preparation, extreme hard work and dogged determination. Her retention of complex factual details covering a five year period, during multiple day long cross examinations of witnesses was highly impressive. It would be impossible to find a better attorney. She is TV star quality. Every supporting friend in the courtroom took her information to contact her if ever necessary--she would be the attorney they all wanted. Veronica is a powerhouse. I thank God I found her.

Would recommend Veronica A. Freitas to anyone

I was involved in a highly contentious divorce involving child custody and Veronica helped me make sense of the legal system and gave me the support and knowledge to make the best decisions I could for myself and my daughter. From the very start I felt comforted by her extensive experience and famili...arity with all aspects of family court. I do not believe that the outcome of the case could have turned out any better for myself and my daughter with any other lawyer.

A Guiding Force

Veronica was instrumental in managing my dissolution case where I ended up with exactly what I set out to achieve—joint custody of my son and an equitable division of assets from my marriage. It was critical to me that my case be handled with integrity and class, which Veronica delivered with her abi...lity to be straight-and-honest, without the need to resort to nasty tactics—unlike my ex's counsel. Veronica is a skilled negotiator, as well as an expert in managing challenging divorce and custody cases in Washington State—all of this at a reasonable rate. While you may not always like what Veronica advises, understand that because of her experience, Veronica will bring a realist mentality to your case. This is critical to have during a time that often has you too emotionally invested to see through the drama typically involved in divorce. This was especially true in my case where the courts frequently favor mothers regardless of the merit of the father. That said, as a father, I'm thrilled with the way we were able to achieve the outcome I initially set out for. A few "good to knows"— • Get involved in your case and be sure that you provide the information needed to facilitate everything (financials, correspondence, etc.) by the deadlines. It doesn't matter how good your attorney is. Without the necessary documentation, your case will be weak. • Be organized. News to me, there's a lot that goes into getting divorced. This is especially true if the other party plays "nasty" and you need prove your side to complete strangers who will influence your outcome more than you ever realized (judges, commissioners, evaluators and so on). • Trust. Know what you're willing to put up with and what you're willing to let go of. Veronica kept focused on what I communicated during our initial meeting and, while it didn't seem to make sense when we were in the midst of the battle, once we got to mediation, everything came together and we were able to complete the case before going through a costly and emotional taxing trial.
