Worst lawyer ever

Veronica is extremely unprofessional, doesn't care for the kids wellbeing. Does not pay attention to the case. If you want to loose hire her.

Conflict on interest

I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment and distrust in Veronica Freitas and her handling of my family law cases. Initially, she represented me in a case involving my first daughter, where she defended my rights as a parent. However, to my utter shock, she later took on a case agai...nst me regarding my second daughter. What is most distressing is that she used confidential information and strategies from my previous case against me in the new case. This blatant conflict of interest has not only jeopardized my relationship with my daughters but also severely damaged my trust in her and the entire firm. I believe that such unprofessional conduct and lack of ethical boundaries should be known to potential clients. I would strongly advise anyone considering this firm to think twice before entrusting them with your sensitive family matters.

I have never "handled" a family law case for Brennon as far as I am aware. I had a consultation with Brennon for a one hour in 2018 and he was represented by an attorney in a previous firm I was with in 2009/2010. I never "took a case" against Brennon. Attorney Julie Sugano joined my firm in February 2023. She had a case where Brennon was the opposing party. I had no recollection of Brennon in 2023. I had no notes from the one hour consultation I had with Brennon 8 years before, and I had no communication with Julie Sugano about her case where Brennon was on the other side. I had no involvement in that case at all. Our system was set up so that I could not access Julie's file or see any information about that case including the billing statement, which is the appropriate way to manage this type of situation pursuant to the rules of professional conduct. I never used confidential information or strategies from Brennon's previous case against him because I had no confidential information about him to share. Also, it is difficult to imagine what information or strategies from eight or eleven years prior, would be useful in a case involving a different mother and a different child.

No hope.

I was done for good with what Veronica has guided me to do. All I can say is perhaps Divorce/Child custody is not her forte,maybe she should just focus on taxes. *****WORD OF ADVICE******research the attorney you hire on as a retainer even for the ones on a budget....Just having me going through w...ith the technical understanding of how the court system works and how judges rule and how certain attorney's work,definatly, DEFINATLY read other peoples comments. It will save you alot of TIME,MONEY,HEARTACHE AND SANITY. I don't want anyone to waste their time and tears for what I went through.I just want to save you lookers out there desperatly looking for a good attorney. For Family Law with Veronica I dont recommend her at all. I have now found a wonderful attorney who has now given me hope and actually said, I am doing the right thing for the steps he asked me to do with the right guidance.I asked him questions,he was very understanding to answer me,all the steps I am doing "keep doing it!" He did not belittle me,threaten me or feel helpless,there is hope. With my new Attorney he is very honest,and compassionate and actually do care about my childs well being and I feel he is by my side and not on my Stbx. Just by his actions and words of reassurance and 98% all about Family law,he given me that boost of light back in my life.
