Terrific real estate attorney

Wow! An attorney who is responsive, highly competent, professional, and economical. Doris is a purple unicorn. She helped me with a complex real estate transaction with ease and low cost. If you need a real estate attorney with integrity who knows her stuff, hire Doris.

I am so fortunate to have been represented by Doris in our immigration case. My family went through many complicated steps to achieve my spouses permanent residency. Nevertheless Doris was very meticulous in her work and was prepared for all obstacles. I have a great appreciation for all her knowled...ge not only in immigration law, but also in real estate law, which was very beneficial to our situation. We have so much gratitude toward Doris for helping us reunite our family. I highly recommend Doris to anyone who needs a lawyer they can trust.

terriible customer service

I hired her to change names on a house deed/title a year ago; but when I contacted her again to verified information per a bank loan officer, she replied impatiently that she will start charge me over the phone ?! I never receive any unprofessional service like this lawyer! she did'nt try to find o...ut the whole story from her old client nor try to explain how she can help so possibly establish a new case! I did'nt even agree or sign contract with her yet ?! so be aware, if anybody call her office, she will said the same thing that " she will start charge you ....". She just lost a client and future referrals !

The person who posted the review was not my former client but a lady friend of my former client. I provided service to her friend in March 2017 to record a document. This person called me in April 2018 questioning whether the document was recorded. She also told me she contacted the county and they didn’t have a record of the recording (I now believe she may not have been telling the truth). I took the time to download the document from the Recorder's website with the stamp showing recordation and emailed it to my former client. This person called a few more time within a few days, insisting the document was not recorded. I told her that if my client had any questions, he needs to call me (now wondering why the client didn’t call me himself). When she became belligerent, I told her that I billed for telephone time also. She then started yelling and threatened she’d post negative reviews.

Excellent working expereince with Doris!

I have a real estate contract that is not possible to close from other lawyer opinions. I contacted Doris, she guided me, my real estate agent, and escrow officers on the right steps to take to close the deal. She is very responsive, detail oriented and always considerate thinking from her client sta...nd point. Without her, the deal would not have happened. Highly recommend and many thanks to her.

Divorce done right

Doris helped me bring an end to my not-so-happy first marriage, with the divorce being final on October 5, 2015. I had naively entered into this first marriage 11 1/2 years earlier, without a pre-nuptial agreement. I felt that my ex-wife, who was now living on East coast, stayed in the marriage becau...se she enjoyed the security that marriage provides, without really having to participate in a marriage. Doris was *very* attentive to my case, from start to finish, always returning my phone calls and emails promptly. This even included answering a big concern that developed last year, within a few days of her starting a vacation to Hong Kong! This case was fairly difficult. My now ex-wife is not the easiest person to work with, as evidenced by her first attorney who ended up resigning from this case. But prior to that happening, there were many times that Doris provided excellent legal research to counter various claims made by this attorney, in his attempts to claim an unreasonable amount of my life savings. As an example, I had purchased my home 17 years before I was married, and had it nearly paid off in 2003, at the time I got married. Yet, opposing council saw no problem trying to grab half of my property! His aggressive style caused a considerable amount of stress, but the excellent research Doris provided successfully fended off this shark. Doris had to bring a new opposing council up to speed on this case, after working with the first attorney for about 9 months. The case was complicated along the way, when my ex, who is a kidney transplant patient but is also doing quite well, started hinting about playing the disability card. This, in spite of the fact that she was doing well enough to purchase a home by herself in Maryland. I also had Doris prepare my first will during this time. I will recommend Doris to anyone without hesitation. And, I'll be sure to visit her again for a "co-habitation" agreement if/when the time comes! Thank You, Doris, for your tireless effort on my behalf! Tom Wickerath Bellevue, WA.
