Failed to appear, failed to disclose critical information.

Non-responsive, fails to attend court, then fails to fix the issue. I'm filing a complaint with the Oregon State bar Association. Also, fails to disclose important information. Mr. Blake failed to appear on my behalf, then didn't request a change in venue to a Municipal court within 30 days after... which would have fixed the issue, he failed to suggest the change of venue strategy while I was out of the country. Instead, he just said the Justice in the matter wanted a signed affidavit from me, taking the blame for his Failure to Appear. Finally, when he saw that I wouldn't lie for him with that local Justice, he pushed me off on to another lawyer (friend) who did absolutely nothing! Would give zero stars if I could. Mr. Blake convinced me to appeal a case to the Oregon Court of Appeals. He failed to disclose how long it would take or that I'd be on the hook for legal fee's of the other side when we duly lost. If I had that information, I probably would not have approved going for an appeal. Use extreme caution if you're using Mr Dore.

Never responds to calls

I tried to hire Blake Dore to help fight a traffic violation. No one ever picked up the office phone and 5 voicemails over the course of 2+ weeks were never returned. Not sure how you expect to have good client service if you never pick up the phone or return phone calls. Your best bet is to look els...ewhere, the lack of communication from this attorney is abysmal.

No accountability, No communication, Extremely high fees.

I hired Mr. Dore in late August 2018. I was already on the docket for trial for a speeding ticket that I received for going 21 over. Mr. Dore was quick to take my money ($600) but lacked communication from there. It was over a month before I finally got a response from him after several attempts to ...reach him. When he finally reached out to me, he informed me that there was a plea offered from the prosecutor. They would drop the speed to 5 mph over but still assess the same fine at $525. I informed him that the plea was not beneficial to me and I would like to go forward with trial. Almost two weeks later, he emails me and says the judge will not let him withdrawal his plea and there is nothing he can do. If your client says no, I don’t want to take the plea, that means don’t go behind your clients back and accept I plea that I wasn’t interested in. All together, I paid $1125 for a speeding ticket that’s still going to show on my driving record. The best part about this is, when he called to tell me that there is nothing he can do about the plea, I told him I was going to call the Oregon State Bar Association for filing a plea on my behalf without my consent. At that point, he told me he was losing communication with me from this point and good luck. Unbelievably unethical and goes against every right I have. As a citizen, I have the right to a trial and Mr. Dore, singlehandedly, took that right away from me. After he took $600 from me. I will be going a legal route to try to recoup some of my money from this terrible attorney. I’m writing this review to warn other potential clients of his shady business tactics and lack of complete communication.

Blake Dore

I disagree with this review. Unfortunately, I am prohibited by attorney-client confidentiality rules from discussing specifics without my client's consent. I am sorry that this reviewer was disappointed with their experience. I work hard for all of my clients and, in my practice, clients are the ones who decide when and if to settle a case.

Look elsewhere

I was charged with speeding in Milwaukie in Jan 2015. I would not recommend Mr Dore as a traffic attorney, even though he was able to get my case dismissed. The process of getting this ticket dismissed spanned 18 months. Some of the delay was due to the courts, but also some of it was Mr Dore's ch...ronic inability to return phone calls and emails. I lost count of the dozens of calls/emails that went unanswered. That was bad enough, but then there was the Milwaukie judge who subtly alluded to his incompetence. When I did get 'any' information from Blake, it was short, vague 160 character Twitter-like emails. The worst part of having him as my lawyer was that part of the agreement he signed off on promised that 'funds paid to the court would be refunded.' 9 months after the agreement was reached, Blake told me I would not be getting any money back. He blamed it on a court clerk that was 'misinformed.' Blake Dore is an unprofessional amateur and I would definitely not recommend him. He is more interested in social media than adequately and accurately representing his clients. Look him up; he's all over Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc..

Worthless

Blake could not have been any less helpful when it came to my traffic ticket. Initially, it took two attempts contacting him before I got a reply. I explained my situation and that I had a little over a week before the ticket was due to resolve it. He said he would be happy to help and we exchanged s...everal emails discussing my ticket, but each time he would take between 36-72 hours for me to get a response. My last email to him included that I only had couple of days left and would need a decision soon, to which I never got a response. Blake Dore was entirely useless when it came to helping me with my ticket.
