A good friend but not a good lawyer
Peter is a good friend to his clients but not a good lawyer. He is young and unexperienced. I lost my case because he give only one hour of his time to prepare me for the interview. You were not there during the actual interview because you are not your mother and you wrote this review out of anger, which I understand. I represented you, your brother and mother -- 3 separate cases based on the same facts and preparation. You and your brother were approved, but your mother was referred to immigration court (she was ultimately approved). The difference with your mother's case (again, you were not there) was that she could not answer simple questions and understandably, she had a hostile officer who did not decide based on facts but feeling alone. If she answered questions like practiced and the officer was fair, she likely would have been approved just like you and your brother. Again, you had the same facts and preparation. To say I remained quiet is false. Once again, you were not there. At the end, I asked your mother questions and made a statement to attempt to repair your mother's inability to answer questions, even those that we prepared during our mock interview. Considerable time was spent on each case and while our final meeting to prepare you for your interview was for an hour, there were multiple meetings to prepare you leading up to that. Sadly, this review was written without correctly stating the full picture. You claim to consider me a "good friend" and that you were hesitating to write an "honest review" but I think both are far from true, especially given your statement "maybe thats why after losing his cases he still manage to have good reviews." What is obvious is that you were hesitant because your review isn't accurate and because I treated you and your family very well (because I care deeply about my clients) but the fact is you are angry. I showed you/your family nothing less than excellence -- I responded to most emails within minutes of receiving them, answered calls every time I was not in a meeting and called you back within an hour every time I missed your call, took you and your brother out to lunches several times, and introduced you to a friend who could then introduce you to other people in your ethnic/religious community. With respect to the preparation of your cases, I worked on your cases tirelessly. I recall working on each of your cases every night and over weekends until they were submitted to try to prepare a strong case as quickly as possible because that is what you wanted. I wonder how in any of this you could have thought I fell short of what was promised. You should consider what differed between your mother's case, your case and your brother's case -- nothing. Yet, you and your brother were approved based on the same facts and preparation but your mother wasn't. What was different then? Officer and your mother's inability to respond. I can see you are angry because your mother's case was referred to immigration court. You and your family were told that if any case were to get referred to immigration court, that I could not assist any further since I stopped handling immigration court cases. I promised to represent your cases to decision, which I did and your mother's inability to answer questions and the officer's hostility was beyond my control. Despite your inaccurate review, I wish you all the best.
