Not Worthed - Money is the only Factor

Well, i'll be honest with you. He is knowledgeable and has a nice office, but he way too much into the money thing. I worked with him very recently and unfortunately, i did not perform enough research...Bottom line, if you are looking for one of those attorneys that care for you, understand your situ...ation, and work with you to the very end, he is definitely, definitely, NOT the one. But if you are looking for a nice and fancy office and some pretty girl come to greet you (which you'll be paying for it), he could be a good candidate. I personally felt very embaressed by the way he is acting. The first thing you'll be greeted with is your receipt for consulting and services...every time. Prices are approximately double what you should be paying. I don't mind paying more for a better service but I do expect to get a relative better service, not worst. Sadly, he is the type that only and only cares about the money that goes into his pocket and even if that means leaving you half-way there...If you have time, researching for lawyers may give you much better chances out there that would cost less than half and the attorney would actually care for you; I learnt this the hard way. I have worked with many attorneys in the past. Danie's problem is that, you'll feel very afraid that he may leave you half-way there. Office: I don't really feel comfortable in his office. you want a semi-private room so you can discuss the matter with your attorney. his office is all window and everyone, including clients, other lawyers, from outside and inside the place can see you.

I've contacted Raghu to work out any misunderstanding, and see how we can make things right. In terms of caring about our clients, I do think our record helping and defending immigrants, many of whom are in extremely vulnerable situations, says a lot about our firm's loyalty, hard work and compassion: <http://immigration-defense.com/Our-Results.aspx>. I only wish I knew what made Raghu think we'd abandon him... Regarding case costs, I'm not sure where Raghu has obtained his data, but our fees are extremely reasonable, and well within range for attorneys with more than 10 years experience. As for consultation fees, if someone has not retained us as their lawyer, our fee is $100 for a consultation meeting. A consultation often last 45 minutes to an hour. We really get into the case during the consultation meeting, going over documents, doing legal research, and answering all questions until the consultee fully understands his case. Our consultations are completely different from those of many other law firms, where the consultee gets only 15 minutes and is pressured to sign a retainer for fees right then and there. People really get a lot of value from these consultations meetings, so I believe it's $100 well spent. To clarify though, clients who have retained us to help with their case *never ever* have to pay an additional consultation fee to meet with us. Only repeat consults pay a consultation fee, and only if a significant amount of time has passed between consultations, requiring us to review the case all over again. Because we put so much time and energy into these consultations, $100 is terrific value, and only rarely do people ask for a follow-up; we are usually hired at that meeting or at the next one, and so clients only pay for one consultation. As for windows, many clients prefer an open an airy space that is unlike an interrogation room. However, I am happy to close the office blinds, and do now ask clients what their preference is. I only wish Raghu had mentioned this to me at our meeting, because I think it's really important for people to feel comfortable in our office. In any case, I do appreciate all feedback, especially criticism, and am looking forward to speaking with this Raghu soon. Since he has worked with over 10 lawyers, Raghu certainly deserves to find one that satisfies him...

A passionate, hardworking and know what is he doing immigration attorney

Daniel Shanfield took my deportation case when other attorneys had told me my case was hopeless. I had read up on what to expect from a good immigration attorney; so I had high expectations. I must say even in that scenario Daniel worked really hard for me, and exceeded these expectations. Even with ...our long odds, Daniel refused to give in, and left no stone unturned. It was quite obvious that it was not just a job but that he really cared. Regardless to say we won. I have recommended him to my friends and family, and would do to anyone who needs help.

Great Service - Fast Results

After five years of trying to adjust my husband's immigration status, and discouraged after paying thousands of dollars in legal fees, only to be told our case had no easy solution, we found Mr. Shanfield through referral, and he offered great service, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, a...nd gave us back the hope we had lost. Thanks to his excellent services, my husband was able to become a permanent resident in a period of four months, something that we never expected. I highly recommend Mr. Shanfield as a true expert in immigration matters. Thanks Mr. Shanfield!
