Extremely Knowledgeable

In January, I decided to drink and drive and got pulled over for my poor choice. Doing a bit of research, I became very worried about the stuff I'd have to go through since a DUI carries with it a hefty fine and also a mandatory suspension of the license. For me, I was worried about the effects on my... day-to-day life since I was dealing with difficult things at work and home at the time. Stephanie was able to explain the best and worst case scenarios in a way that made sense to me, and assured me that I wouldn't have to go to jail for my first offense (which would have been devastating to my life if I wasn't able to take care of my personal stuff at that point). What amazed me was that my arm had gotten badly bruised from the blood test I opted for and she was able to immediately figure out the person who drew my blood to use as evidence if necessary. The attention to detail and knowledge of the people and factors for DUI cases in the area was what made me choose Stephanie after talking to a couple of other lawyers. I didn't feel pressured to make a decision, and the entire office was very good at communicating with me discreetly and promptly via phone and through email based on my preferences. This way, I was able to take care of a busy work schedule without worrying about being caught at bad times. Her simple explanations of confusing legal things really helped keep me get on with my regular life and ease into the things I needed to do after the court date. She always had a current strategy that she would continually update based on whatever factors became known as it got closer to the court date. It ended up that the police officer had done absolutely everything right on their end and I was convicted of a DUI with 0.18 BAC, but Stephanie took care of all of my paperwork and made sure I stayed out of jail. I've talked to other people with similar cases and they've had heftier sentences than I received. The best part of it all is the fact that I didn't have to spend any time in court, and I was notified promptly of all news related to the case. For someone so disorganized as myself, it was worth having Stephanie represent me just for the simple fact of making sure all the paperwork was properly handled because I'm pretty sure I would have missed something if I tried to do everything myself. Getting a DUI and learning about the consequences can come as a major shock, but definitely give Stephanie Rickard a call to make sure your case is handled properly.

Thank You Stephanie!!! You are amazing

Stephanie Rickard was an awesome attorney. I have never been in trouble with the law until my recent DUI. I was lost, depressed, and worried about what was going to happen next. I gave Stephanie a call and scheduled a consultation. The consultation was amazing and I decided to hire her on the spot. ...She made me feel at ease, and I was finally able to relax and not stress so much. Stephanie answered all the questions I had. I would just be sitting around the house, at work, or out shopping and I would text her random questions regarding my case. She would always respond to each text with the answer I was looking for. When it was time for my court date, Stephanie appeared on my behalf and called me right away with the outcome. I was expecting so many different harsh penalties, but the outcome was not even close to what I was expecting, all thanks to Stephanie. Stephanie is a wonderful lawyer and I would highly recommend her services. Hopefully I don’t get into any more legal trouble, but if I do I know who to call.

Outstanding representation

Stephanie is by far the best attorney I have ever dealt with. I had two cases I needed help with one old and one new. I found out that my former attorney never did some things that he said he would do with my previous case, in addition I had a new case that I needed help with. With my previous ex...perience with terribly attorneys I shopped around quite a bit, consulted with over a dozen attorneys and narrowed it down to two, with pure gut feel I went with Stephanie, and it was definitely to correct decision. Stephanie is diligent, prepared and fights for you, not only that she is truly concerned and it shows. For me, one of the top criterion for an attorney is responsiveness. When you feel worried or just need to some update on your case it can be agonizing waiting for a response and Stephanie always, and I mean ALWAYS, would get back to me in a timely manner. This made me feel very at ease that someone great was advocating for me. The outcome of both my cases were favorable and I have Stephanie to thank for it. I really cannot express in words how thankful I am. I rarely write any sort of review but I feel it absolutely necessary to make clear to some people going through similar situations trying to select an attorney that you will be making one of the best decisions for your legal future choosing Stephanie, she rocks.

Best Lawyer I have ever worked with

Stephanie was by far the best defense attorney I have ever worked with. I was caught up in a unfortunate situation where I was facing license suspension, delaying an officer, and a felony possession. Two of the three circumstances were no fault of my own, and the officer abused his authority. Stepha...nie heard my case and instantly took charge of the situation and handled everything! I never had to take a day off of work or even show up in a court room. She was able to reach reasonable compromise that was more than fair given the situation. She keep me informed every step of the way by phone and mail. I was always in the loop. Several times she had to appear in court to work out the stipulations for a dismal and through her experience, legal knowledge, and sheer persistence , the ultimate goal was accomplished and the issue was resolved. Case closed!!! She not only took care of the problem but secured a solid future for me in that I would still maintain a clean record. Words can't describe how grateful I am for a legit, and honest lawyer. On behalf of my family and myself thank you Stephanie!

Highly Recommended - 5 Star Experience

I’m happy to recommend the services of Stephanie M. Rickard to anyone in need of a great DUI lawyer. In December 2013 I made the poor decision to drink and drive, my poor decision resulted in an accident and my arrest. It was a week before Christmas and since I had never been in any kind of legal t...rouble I was a nervous wreck. AVVO helped me locate DUI attorneys in the San Jose. I interviewed a total of 6 by phone and only two were responsive during the holidays. Stephanie was the only one available to meet with me on the 23rd. I was ready to hire another attorney but after meeting Stephanie I knew she was the attorney for me: professional, communicative, compassionate, and competent. She explained the legal process to me and began to calm my nerves. All of my questions were answered in a timely manner and she kept me well informed via phone, text, and email. When it was time to review the police report she was flexible about scheduling an appointment with me to discuss my plea and a list of possible outcomes. When the day of my arraignment finally arrived she called me right away to let me know the outcome.
