Stephanie Rickard is masterful

Stephanie Rickard never gives up and has positive relationships with all the DA's , Judges and staff. She tells you what she can do and then gets it done. She performed with the highest integrity for me and achieved the BEST case scenario. Don't hire an attorney without meeting her first.

A satisfied client

First off, going through a DUI case can be one of the most stressful and nerve wrecking events in a persons life and it can happen to ANYBODY! I solicited legal representation from Stephanie after a referral and felt I was in good hands from the start. She and her team thoroughly examined and ev...aluated all aspects of the case, patientely answered all questions, and most importantly provided clear and detailed instructions on what steps to take in the process and when. She has excellent rapport with the courts and judges and defended my case to the full extent of the law. There's no substitute for caring and effective legal representation, and that is exactly what was provided to me. Don't put your trust in an advertised DUI lawyer, take my personal testimony as a referral and ask for a consultation from Stephanie should the need arise.

Honest Attorney

I had some problems with a business that the City Planning Department and Sheriff Department were harassing me. I hired a lawyer to represented me. I payed him a lot of money and never got any results. Because of him I actually received more citations. That took a year. I decided to look for another ...Attorney and found Stephanie Rickard on Yelp. I made an appointment and met her. She was 100% different from the other Attorney, she actually cared. She explained what she could do for me and said she would talk to the City Officials for me. Long story short, In two weeks she had my case brought to Court and had half of the citations dropped. The other ones were reduced to infractions. I suffered for over a year and she cleared it up in two weeks. Great, Friendly, Knowledgable Attorney. I definitely would recommend her. If your stuck with a bad lawyer get someone else.

A few words about Stephanie

For a person who has never been involved in any police matter, having criminal charges being filed against you can be a harrowing experience. I had got myself involved in an alleged "Hit and Run" case, and was facing misdemeanor charges. In reality however, I had just been dumb enough to not notice t...he minor impact which had happened with another car. In any case, it was terrifying just thinking about the court proceedings and the possible verdicts. My being an immigrant on an H1-B visa added further to the mental anguish, thinking about the possible effect of these charges on my immigration status. In those difficult moments, talking to Stephanie felt good. She gave me a detailed explanation of the charges I was facing, and how she planned to address them. It felt that all was not lost afterall. Coming from an experienced attorney like her, it was not hard to see that she knew what she was talking about. It didn't seem like this was the first time she was handling such a case. But what appealed most to me about her, was her sense of empathy, which I found missing in varying degrees, in other lawyers whom I had consulted. In our first meeting itself, she outlined a plan of action, and informed me that we had a good chance of getting the charges reduced to an infraction, which is essentially like a speeding ticket. Even though it took 3 hearings (which you have to live with unfortunately, because thats how the system works - slow), we got what we had planned for aka an infraction. It was a big relief. Overall, I found Stephanie to be intelligent, resourceful, empathetic and a person who actually had your best interest at heart, as against the monetary gains for herself. She will not push you to make a hasty decision to make her your attorney. She will not tell you anything which she thinks she cannot achieve for you, which is another of her traits I appreciated. She will describe things for you as they are, which most of the times are not as bad you imagine them in your head.

Best Attorney in the Bay Area!

I found myself in a situation and I needed an attorney. After reading reviews and speaking with several law offices I went to meet with Stephanie Rickard. She took notes and asked questions as I explained what had happened. She reassured me and explained how the process would work and what she cou...ld do for me. As I left her office I felt confident that I was in good hands. And I was! Stephanie followed up with the court and ultimately got the best settlement possible for my situation. Stephanie is knowledgable and smart. She worked hard for me and justice prevailed. I recommend Stephanie highly!
