Highly Recommended - 5 Star Experience

I’m happy to recommend the services of Stephanie M. Rickard to anyone in need of a great DUI lawyer. In December 2013 I made the poor decision to drink and drive, my poor decision resulted in an accident and my arrest. It was a week before Christmas and since I had never been in any kind of legal t...rouble I was a nervous wreck. AVVO helped me locate DUI attorneys in the San Jose. I interviewed a total of 6 by phone and only two were responsive during the holidays. Stephanie was the only one available to meet with me on the 23rd. I was ready to hire another attorney but after meeting Stephanie I knew she was the attorney for me: professional, communicative, compassionate, and competent. She explained the legal process to me and began to calm my nerves. All of my questions were answered in a timely manner and she kept me well informed via phone, text, and email. When it was time to review the police report she was flexible about scheduling an appointment with me to discuss my plea and a list of possible outcomes. When the day of my arraignment finally arrived she called me right away to let me know the outcome.

DUI with High BAC

Stephanie handled my dui case. I am very much happy with the outcome of the case. she was able to reduce sentence and provided best result. She answered all phone calls and deeply studied and worked on case and provided me all necessary appointments. She was there to support me and motivate me. i... highly recommend Stephanie. Thanks a lot Stephanie for all you have done for me. I am fortunate to have you to handle my case. No one else could have provided such results.

Great Attorney! I have never had such a great experience

Stephanie Rickard is by far the best attorney I have hired. I have dealt with a few attorneys in the past and she is by far the most responsive. Going through any legal case, it is hardest not knowing what is going on and Stephanie does a great job at keeping you informed. I received my DUI about 6 m...onths ago and had many consultations. All of the attorneys seemed to give a lot of the same information but none seemed as concerned and helpful as Stephanie. I had a few possible outcomes in my case and Stephanie was able to get my charge reduced to a wet and reckless (my best possible outcome). This did not come easy, Stephanie made sure to explore all defense possibilities and did not push me to settle quickly when the outcome did not seem possible. My situation was unique in that I received my DUI in Santa Clara country but work a ways away. Stephanie made it so easy for me to remain where I work and not have to return to the area every time there was a new development in my case. I must reiterate that Stephanie was able to alleviate all my concerns by staying in constant contact with me. I am someone who was very high anxiety about my case and how it would affect my life. Every time I called Stephanie, I usually heard back the same day and I cannot emphasize how comforting that was. Thank you Stephanie for helping me so much!

Professional, responsive, knowledgeable

Stephanie was a great attorney to have for my DUI case. Her experience includes having worked with the Santa Clara DA's office, which gives her a perspective from the prosecution side of things. She very clearly explained to me what angles we could attack my particular case from. She saved me the tim...e of having to spend hours scouring the web on the legal and DMV associated issues with my case. I ended up getting the best outcome I could for my case. She would respond to my inquiries and questions promptly. Most importantly though, I felt I could trust her as my attorney as she came off as genuine and seemed to really care about helping me get the best out of my case. The same cannot be said for some of the DUI attorneys hired by my friends, who ended up with a harsher sentence and spent more money.

Caring and reliable, excellent attorney.

I was impressed with Stephanie right away. I left her a voice mail and she returned my phone call within 45 minutes. I had been in a car accident and was arrested with DUI charges. I was very stressed about what was going to happen, and Stephanie made me feel very comfortable and it was so easy to be... myself and talk to her openly about the whole thing. She never made me feel like I was the bad guy, she was very empathetic. Any time I called and left messages, she always called me back right away. I believe Stephanie helped me out tremendously with my case and I am so happy that I had her to defend and support me. When I was not able to leave work to meet with her to review the details of my court case coming up, she offered to come meet me at my place of work and did just that. In my place of business, we strive to go "Above and Beyond", and I feel that this is exactly what she did for me, was go above and beyond. I would definitely reccomend her and would absolutely use her services again. (Although that will not be happening, I have learned my lesson!)
