Wow, where do I start? Can I really add to the title of this comment? My son was charged with two felonies with enhancement in 2014. This was actually an act of self defense but the O.C. District Attorney's office, will do anything to win a case, at all costs. Beware!! We immediately hired a c...riminal defense attorney from Beverly Hills but were not pleased with the result and the perpetual continuance of the case. 18 months passed and the D.A. in their effort to 'win', was taking the case to trial. Originally, I hired Me. Gurwitz for what I believed was going to be a state charge. When I found myself facing a federal indictment, Mr. Gurwitz stayed by my side and explained very clearly how the process was going to be different than state charges. I was informed that my co-defendants' attorneys c...harged them additional fees for being a federal case - Mr. Gurwitz did not do this and stood by his original quote. In my search for an attorney, I came across several prospects that seemed knowledgable but also came off more interested in gouging me for money rather than looking out for my interest. There were also a few that just didn't seem to show any integrity which was definitely not what I was looking for. ...The "cheap" attorneys seemed more content in just pushing me to settle despite the ramifications.
