After the DA's office was backed into a corner by Scafiddi's expertise and willingness to go to trial if need be, the DA's office realized it would be an embarrassment to the arresting officer to put him on the stand, they offered me a drunk in public charge. Following a small fine, it was finally over for me. Scafiddi got the case from a felony DUI to a misdemeanor drunk in public.
