I’ll start off by saying I have a few friends who are defense attorneys in different states so had some sound advice as to what I should look for. Their biggest advice was you don’t want a lawyer that tries to use fear tactics to get you to book retainer, and when you tell your case you want someone ...who has full confidence and doesn’t bat an eye. Mark checked both of these boxes with ease. I was facing a felony dui with injury in the Vista courthouse which is incredibly harsh, so I did my due diligence and called around. I spoke with probably 12 lawyers and ultimately decided with Mark. From initial consultation, to answering all of my additional questions, Mark was very transparent and had clear plan of attack. I am not a person who drinks and drives and received my charge in a very dumb way when I had a lapse in judgment and drove a golf cart and my friend fell off. My case was riddled with police errors which made everything incredibly frustrating, however the law really feels like it is guilty until proven innocent and I was determined to take it all the way til the end. That being said, Mark has great relationships with the DA office and was able to negotiate down to a plea I was more than happy to sign and glad to start putting everything behind me.
