Stay away from this Law Firm
2014 Andy Van Lee from Accident Law Center took my injury case over the phone and assigned an attorney to my case who called me twice over the phone and then quit the firm without notifying me so after 2 years I finally get to meet Andy Van Lee behind a desk and he calls me old while wearing a neon...
We are are sincerely saddened you are unhappy with our services. However to be fair, all facts should be told. This was a car accident case that occurred on 9-18-14. 2 months a/f accident, client was referred our office wherein he signed our standard contingency fee agreement outlining all costs and fees (client also initialed above the costs and fees). At the time, client had only just visited chiropractic care more than 2 months post accident. Client was then referred to obtain an MRI of the cervical spine. MRI revealed a minor herniation (1.5 - 2 mm) which showed the herniations were degenerative in nature. Client was then referred to orthopedic and Pain Management Specialist. Client refused injections. Treatment completed w/o injections on 4-8-15. A demand was sent to the insurer shortly a/f all medical records were received. Insurer offered $0 based on the 2 month delay in care. A pre litigation letter was timely sent to client advising of offer, fees, costs and requesting how client would like to proceed along with the $0 offer. Client sent back pre litigation documents authorizing our office to file suit in early 2016. Suit was filed early 2016. Case settled for $15,000 just 1 day b/f trial. We did not call client old, we stated that due to client's age (in 60's) the 1.5-2 mm herniations are very likely due to degeneration as we get older. Further, when client doesn't want to get injections this would indicate client wasn't bothered by the minimal herniations. The fees were explained to client multiple times, client even initialed the fees multiple times and was again explained in the pre litigation letter to client b/f suit was filed. The $88 fee was not a parking fee but was from ACE which is our process server. A complaint must be served on the defendant which in this case defendant moved and thus required our office to locate him through our own paid database subscription which we didn't charge the client. Andy is the managing attorney at all times and never "quit the firm." Robert is an associate attorney with over 4 years experience graduating from UC Berkely Law. Had it not been for our efforts, client would be left owing all the medical bills for which client sought some of the care b/f our office was retained. Instead all bills were paid and client got in pocket over 2k which is great considering the $0 offer. Most clients and other attorneys would believe we did a great job. We have helped over a thousand clients with great results. It is unfortunate though that some clients will never be happy.
