Lies

Horrible experience- lies . He will not go to trial . He will tell you your case is max 40000. Don’t listen. Check the bar he does not get 10-30 new cases a month, or have no losses. Do your research .

We do sign up 10-30 cases per month, average is about 15. We have lost before, though not often. When we estimate your case at $40,000, that's our opinion and we always encourage people to get multiple opinions. I hope you found a firm that could meet your expectations.

Awaiting outcome

2 years still on a case with tons of evidence and pages from the county with 15 violations on home me and my 10 year old son lived at etc etc . I personally would be an attorney #1 for the best interest of my clients, to look out for them , understand , feel, imagine, just fight for them you know .... All I can say is not all attorneys care about at and some do things only to benefit them . Im not gonna say much more cause my case is not over . But assured I will continue this when case ends . I will say the firm started off so nice and assuring and responded but after almost 2 years humm … all the negative reviews I’ve read believe me and I see a huge pattern and a lot of alike responses as I fall in that category to but I may have a tad bit more to discuss . I write honest reviews because I think we deserve to hear what’s true and not get screwed over . Until case ends that’s all I have to say . If anyone would like to chat about there stories with me I’m all game .

I'm sorry you feel this way. Every client has my cell phone, if there are issues you can call me directly. As a note, we tell every new client that cases average 18 months (not max, but average). And yes, there are negative reviews which I could ask Avvo to remove...but I would rather leave them on, as it means there is a learning opportunity from each negative review. The 100+ positive reviews sort of balance things out.

Binh Bui cost me thousands of dollars :(

I was experiencing severe neglect from my landlord in downtown Los Angeles. There was a pipe that exploded in my wall and a couple years later, mold started forming around my unit. I went ahead and paid for a certified mold inspection, which yielded positive results of 6 different types of mold. O...n Binh's recommendation, I went to Kaiser to get a check up. The doctor wrote that I was having an allergic reaction to the presence of mold. I consulted with Binh once I got the paperwork indicating this. All of a sudden, Binh says, oh you should go back and pay for an additional visit, because they didn't explicitly say X,Y, and Z. I thought to myself, wow, if you would have consulted me better, I could have gotten this done on my first visit. Anyways, Binh recommended that I move out of the unit. I questioned this, because I felt like the mold could have been properly remediated OR my landlord could have given me a different unit in the 250+ unit apartment building, if he was willing to send a letter to my landlord, give him a call, or do SOMETHING. My apartment was at a very affordable price, and the landlord was willing to move me to a different unit at the same exact price. Binh recommended that I move out immediately instead of doing anything on my behalf. He explained that my case would look better. I asked him if there were any time limits that would affect my case. He told me that there are statutory time limits, but my health problems would be reason enough for me to have a good shot at winning my case. Long story short, due to being advised poorly by Binh, I lost access to a new affordable apartment unit that was locked into rent control at a low cost. He didn't do any work whatsoever, and was never available to take my calls or advise me. Him and his firm simply take on too many cases and have no desire to help tenants with medical issues or inhabitability issues. They charge 50% of the winnings of any case. If you want somebody to help you figure out legal issues, DO NOT CONTACT THIS FIRM.

Big Mistake if you hire him

Horrible Lawyer. Did no work on my case and pretended for months he was wrapping it up. Ended up homeless and getting r4ped hospitalized multiple times due to his negligence. He did not care about the case now I have to become a stripper to afford to sue him. Everything he offered me was in favor of ...my rich landlord. I believe landlord paid him because he did absolutely nothing but burden me and didn't defend me in any way. He even refused to take things to trial. And then tried to extort me for money to go to trial.

I see you didn't find a lawyer after all, Tiffany. You fired us because you "had talked with a roomful of lawyers (in Texas)" and they advised you differently, and no other lawyer for some reason would take on your million dollar case. Please see help, and get another (real) lawyer to look over your case because it did have value, just not as much as you want, and remember it's not a criminal case. No one is going to jail over this matter. You do not have to become a stripper to sue your ex-landlord. I wish you the best in Texas.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE LAW FIRM/DISGRACE TO LEGAL COMMUNITY

VERY ARROGANT. NO FIERCE ADVOCACY ON CONTINGENCY. The only time Binh Bui contacted was when it was time to collect settlement money. He appeared out of nowhere. Before then, ZERO. He talked down to me; talked to me like he's superior. NOT VESTED AT ALL IN MY CASE. MOST TELLING IS THAT NOBODY IN THIS ...FIRM EVER ASKED ME WHAT I WANTED OR CARED WHAT I WANTED. Only explanation from this law firm: I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING. Translation: We don't care what you think or any input from client. This firm NEVER cared about me, justice for me, and ignored all of the landlord's illegal actions. THEY ONLY WANTED TO GET IN AND GET OUT WITH THE MONEY. And even though this law firm was supposed to be representing me, they threw me under the bus and did EVERYTHING the landlord's lawyer told them to do. BINH BUI DID NOT FIGHT FOR ME. DIDN'T CARE. I NEVER FELT THAT BINH BUI WAS FIERCELY ADVOCATED FOR ME AND THAT I WAS IN CAPABLE LEGAL HANDS. I HAD HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE WITH BINH BUI, and I see why people don't bother hiring lawyers. EMBARRASSMENT TO LEGAL PROFESSION AND LEGAL COMMUNITY. HAVING A LICENSE TO PRACTICE LAW DOES NOT MEAN YOU GET LEGAL REPRESENTATION. HAVING BINH BUI'S LAW REPRESENTATION WAS JUST LIKE NO REPRESENTATION AT ALL. Binh Bui told me: I don't want to be your lawyer, but this is the lawyer representing me?

I remember your case, from your writing alone, and since you posted anonymous, I will keep you that way. I would like to add that it is necessary that a client agree to a settlement after many consultations. In order to get to an agreement, the client is contacted every step of the way from the opening of the negotiations, to the first amount we demand from the other side. You were with us every step of that way and we listened. You just didn't like what we had to say, which was that a case is not based on what you want, it is based on the evidence and how much a jury is likely to award. I want you to win a billion dollars (because I get a good chunk of it) but that is not going to happen, I'm sorry. I wish you well in your endeavors.
