Gives Lawyers a Bad Rap - Run of the Mill Operation

Mr. Brennan claims to give out free consultations, I did not speak with Mr. Brennan until my suit was file and even then it wasn't until months later. Nonetheless his staff were nice enough to keep in the loop. Once I finally got the opportunity to meet with Mr. Brennan he proceeds to only talk abou...t himself for the first 45 minutes of my hour with him - leaving me feeling confused as I still did not know what was happening in my case. Leading up to a potential settlement, be warned, as Mr. Brennan's attitude towards my case changed once he saw dollar signs heading our way. Mr. Brennan's websites all claim that he is a "Consumer Advocate" - plainly he just wanted my case to settle, so he can collect his attorney fees.

Message from Bob Brennan--I know which client this is, namely, the one that thought the case was worth about 5 times what it actually was worth. For anyone reading this negative review, I will always give you a candid assessment of case value. If you disagree with me, go elsewhere. I cannot take a mid-level value case and make it into a "win the lottery" windfall if I don't have the facts to work with. That is true for me and for any lawyer out there.

Got the job done, but a bit of a "lawsuit mill" feel

Well, the most important part - the outcome - worked out fine. They convinced the manufacturer to buy back my vehicle with little hassle. However, I never actually spoke or dealt with the lawyer once - everything was handled through a secretary and a paralegal, and they were both "thick" to deal ...with and basically just an email forwarding service. Even after sending over every document requested, they had difficulty making sense of it. I had to do a lot of (what should have been obvious) explanations through them to the manufacturer. When the manufacturer tried to low-ball their offer, the email forwarding service continued, and again, I had to do the negotiating. Throughout the entire process, you could tell that I was one of hundreds of cases, and the secretary and paralegal couldn't seem to care less. So, would I recommend them? I guess - they did get the job done, but it was a lot harder than it had to be and I would have left a couple thousand on the table if I did not negotiate and do a lot of work.
