EXCELLENT!

I had some serious legal issues come back to haunt me from the past. I had countless nights staying up researching about my case. I called 8 lawyers and got 8 different prices, before I decided to choose Greg Hill to take my case. After speaking with Greg, I knew he was one of those RARE attorneys.... I was blown away with the price Greg charged me. Greg is the lawyer that is more willing to help you, rather than a lawyer that’s more concerned about price. I experienced a well planned process from day one, and an excellent declaration prepared by Greg Hill and his Team. I am incredibly grateful, I hired Greg Hill to file (PC 1473.7)a motion to vacate a conviction I had 15 years ago that was blocking me from my immigration dreams here.  Greg prepared and filed the motion and the first judge was really tough, but suggested Greg file more information about me, so Greg did so. The District Attorney at that time, also wanted me to take a reduced charge. The motion (and my case) was then transferred to a different judge and a different courthouse, so we worried if the same approach would apply to my case.  The new judge, my immigration attorney told me, was "no joke," suggesting he was tough and perhaps even mean.  Greg got the motion granted, and even got the potential reduced sentence dismissed (PC 1385) however, and I'm very grateful. I am now able to apply for US Citizenship and not risk being deported. Please do yourself a favor and stop researching for a lawyer. I would advise anyone in legal trouble to contact Greg Hill as soon as possible. His experience, knowledge, and skills are EXCELLENT. It’s true, having a great lawyer really matters. Thank you everyone at Greg Hill & Associates! I am forever grateful!

Fantastic lawyer

I found Greg Hill through an internet search when looking for someone to assist a friend serving 22 years in prison for armed robbery. Like Mr. Hill, my friend is a military veteran. A law was passed in California (1170.91) a few years ago that allowed veteran prisoners in California who were tried b...efore 2015 to have a re-hearing on their sentences if it could be established that PTSD was a factor in their crime. There are not many prisoners who qualify for a re-hearing under this law, and, as such, it was difficult to find an attorney who understood how to successfully present this type of case. First, the prisoner has to establish their rights to have this hearing under the narrow definition of the law; then, it has to be proved that PTSD was a factor in the commission of the crime (i.e., prove a “nexus” between PTSD and the wrong-doing). Few people have been able to meet the first criteria of eligibility, and those that have qualified for a re-sentencing hearing have found it difficult to prove “nexus” or win a sentence reduction. Fortunately for my friend, Mr. Hill turned out to be the rare attorney who knew how to develop a strategy and present the case successfully despite the lack of precedent. My friend had 5 years knocked off his sentence, which resulted in his imminent release from prison for time served under the newly lowered term!!! Making this happen was no easy task. The judge opened the hearing by stating that he had no intent to rule in favor of a sentence reduction because nexus was not shown. However, when the judge asked whether the attorneys wanted to say anything before his final ruling, Mr. Hill prevailed by pointing out errors in the DA’s filings and then convinced the judge to hear testimony on the issue of how PTSD was a factor in the crime. Mr. Hill's clear analysis of problems in the initial sentencing and his strategy in presenting the case won the day. When the judge said he would reduce my friend’s sentence by 5 years, we were stunned: the judge’s stated bias was more like a “summary judgment,” and there was seemingly no way to change his mind. However, Mr. Hill’s demeanor and arguments won the day. Even the bailiff was stunned and remarked how rarely this happens. Mr. Hill deserves all the credit in turning the judge around and for freeing my friend after serving 14 years of his too-long prison sentence. I have only the highest praise for Mr. Hill. I’m a long-time prisoner rights advocate, and I have been involved with many legal matters in the last few decades. I’ve worked with many attorneys in this time, and Mr. Hill stands out as the most responsive, caring, experienced, and intelligent attorney I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. As a vet himself, he is dedicated to helping his fellow vets by making it possible for them to afford high-quality legal representation. Mr. Hill always returned my calls, texts, and emails promptly while we worked through all the issues in his case. What’s more, he treated my friend with care, respect, and dignity — a rarity for prisoners. Despite the many restrictions imposed by the pandemic, Mr. Hill visited my friend numerous times in the LA County Twin Towers to review developments in his case. These discussions and visits kept my friend’s hope alive — no small task given his challenges. Do yourself a favor and speak to Greg Hill first when seeking representation. His skills, experience, knowledge, and advocacy will prove to be huge assets in your case, whatever legal problems you face.

Spent 2 days in jail 2 years after he failed to appear for me in court!!!!

Claimed he did my case and that it was all taken care of 2 years later I was arrested due to him not appearing in court. After i was booked and i bailed myself out I was given a new court date he also could not successfully appear at. In the end he advised me to just pay my ticket instead of him figh...ting it which is what i paid him to do..... Blamed the court system for not being able to show up in court twice for me. What a waste of time and money and he did not even say sorry for failing to appear, because of HIM i was in jail for 2 days. I would stay away from Greg at all costs. I would give him 0 stars if I could. BEWARE THIS GUY HAS NO CLUE WHAT HE IS DOING.
